Quebec Workers Not Worried About H1N1 Threat
The CROP company conducted a survey in September to determine Quebec workers intentions if they were infected by influenza A (H1N1).
The survey revealed that close to 25% of workers would still go to work even if they or a family member was infected by influenza A.
This was more evident in men where 33% said they intend to report to work if they or a family member is infected with the virus.
Despite the threat of an influenza pandemic, more than one in two workers (53%) said they have not changed their hygiene habits, like washing their hands, coughing into their elbow or using a hand disinfectant. Amoung men, this number increased to 58%.
