On February 8, Sade, whose real name is Helen Folasade Adu, will be making her musical return. The album, entitled Soldier of Love, follows Sade’s 2000 release, Lovers Rock.

Sade first shot to fame in 1984 with her debut album, Diamond Life, which captured listeners around the globe.  Five songs from the disc were topping the charts, and it went on to sell more than 50 million copies.  The debut also earned three Grammy Awards.

Her latest entry, Soldier of Love, was recorded last June under the direction of her long-time collaborator, Mike Pela.  Pela is best known for his work with Maxwell, Savage Garden, and more recently, Corinne Bailey Rae.

Few details have been released regarding the new album.  Maxwell, who has heard some of the new tracks, wrote on his Facebook page last spring that the disc is certain to be a success.
