Tom Cruise Denies Publicity Stunt

The Hollywood star, who is in Berlin to promote his new film, War of the Worlds, commented that his love story is not for show.

"I have to laugh. It’s just ridiculous," said the 42 year-old actor.

He added, "Something magnificent has happened to me and something extraordinary, and I’m so happy I just can’t restrain myself."

In a recent survey in the United States, 60% of those tallied said that they thought the relationship was a hoax.

The couple suprised the media for the first time in Rome with their announcement of their couplehood.  Since then, the rumours have been growing.  Cruise and Holmes each have new movies opening, he in Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds, and she is in the film Batman Begins.
