Would Carter Hart be accepted in a locker room and in a city?
Yesterday, we learned that the five players linked to the Junior Team Canada scandal (Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton) will be allowed to return to the National Hockey League. In fact, the guys will be able to sign as of October 15, but they’ll be suspended until December, so as of December 1, we could legally see these five guys sign again for the team of their choice. At the moment, the five are not linked to any NHL team, but will they be? Obviously, the question arises, since many of these guys were not stars. After all, as Renaud Lavoie talked about this morning on BPM Sports, it doesn’t mean that a club will want to sign such a player. Why sign an ordinary player who doesn’t significantly improve your team if you’re going to alienate a portion of your fans in the process? It’s not worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw12FMPAxjY [content-ads]That’s why many of these players might not get a job in the NHL, even if they’re entitled to one. But where’s the line? How good does a player have to be for a club to think it’s worth signing him, despite the rage it will create among many? The answer depends on the player, on the market, on the team’s fans, on the management team, on the group of leaders in the dressing room, and so on. #ManyFactorsBut in reality, here, the question arises mainly for Carter Hart. After all, he’s the best of the lot, and a few teams (including the Flyers and Oilers) are looking for help in front of the net.Because yes, the Flyers could well try to sign their former goalie. If there’s one guy who could find himself a job, it’s him. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen easily, since despite his talent, he’s a controversial figure who hasn’t played in many months. So signing him would be a risk on several levels. Still, I have a feeling the Oilers are going to sign him. The club likes to give second chances… and you’ve got to give the captain a chance to win, right?[spacer title=’Overtime’]- How much will he earn?
RG sources shoot down the report that the Wild asked Kirill Kaprizov for a trade list, but also suggest Kaprizov’s camp is looking to push for a record-setting cap percentage of nearly 20%.

Chris Johnston: Re Rasmus Andersson: I still believe Vegas is the destination that he would find attractive; obviously there was some trade talk with the Golden Knights and the Flames – Chris Johnston Show (9/10)
