The Government of Canada has unveiled the official program for the 2026 Canada Day celebrations, which will take place on July 1 across the country. This day of gathering will celebrate Canadian culture, local artists, and the values that unite citizens from coast to coast.
At the heart of the festivities, Ottawa will host the national celebrations at LeBreton Plains Park. Canadians will also be able to participate in numerous activities organized in their respective communities.
An evening of music featuring renowned artists
The traditional national evening show will be broadcast live from Ottawa and aired across the country from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. This grand celebration will feature an impressive lineup of artists from diverse musical backgrounds.
Among the announced names are Alessia Cara, Barenaked Ladies, Diane Dufresne, Isabelle Boulay, Pierre Lapointe, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Beatrice Deer, Lisa LeBlanc, Gab Bouchard, and P’tit Belliveau.
Performances will also be presented from Moncton, New Brunswick, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, showcasing talent from across the country.
For the fifth consecutive year, Isabelle Racicot will host the show.
A celebration that reflects Canada’s diversity
The artistic program for the 2026 edition has been designed to represent Canada’s cultural richness and diversity. Music, dance, and a variety of performances will highlight the many influences that shape Canada’s identity today.
To make the event accessible to as many people as possible, the show will be interpreted simultaneously in Quebec Sign Language (LSQ) and American Sign Language (ASL).

The return of the “La station Ô Canada!” contest
The participatory contest “La station Ô Canada!” will return for a second year.
Citizens are invited to record a short video to share their wishes for Canada Day. Some of these clips will be included in a special segment aired during the evening show, featuring messages from across the country.
In addition to potentially having their video featured nationally, eligible participants will have a chance to win a trip with VIA Rail Canada in 2026 as well as a VIP experience during the 2027 Canada Day celebrations.
