It’s now official: Donald Trump and the PGA Tour have reached an important agreement.

According to reports, the PGA Tour will return to Trump National Doral for the first time since 2016, as part of the 2026 Miami Championship. The organization had decided to withdraw its presence from the course during Trump’s first term in office, almost 10 years ago, in favor of Mexico City.

In fact, the competition will take place from April 30 to May 3, 2026, and has even been labelled as one of the nine signature events of the coming season. Only the best qualified players will be able to take part in the tournament. This is the first time since 2023 that the PGA will have more than eight signature tournaments.

Over the past year, Jay Monahan, the former PGA Tour Commissioner, as well as star players such as Rory McIlroy, have been seen at the White House, in order to build a relationship of trust with the President. Specifically, the PGA asked Trump to mediate a prospect pact with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

Both parties are seeking to unify the sport, but a difference in vision would throw a wrench into the process. The PGA Tour would like only one professional circuit, as opposed to two for LIV Golf.

However, all indications are that the PGA Tour and the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund are far from an agreement, following a meeting at the White House with PFI Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan last February. To compensate, Monahan had declared the possibility of seeing the PGA Tour return to Trump National Doral.

Once called the Doral Country Club, its name changed to Trump National Doral when Donald Trump made it his property in 2012. And before their association came to an end in 2016, the PGA had been staging tournaments on the course since 1962.

So this will be a return to its roots for the PGA, but a first with Trump in power!

Why a surprise?

In the past, Trump hasn’t been the most tender towards the pop singer, having openly shown hatred towards her on several occasions, due to Taylor Swift’s support for Kamala Harris during the last elections.

Trump had already gone so far as to say that he much preferred Patrick Mahomes‘ wife, Brittany, due to his preference for the Republican Party. The septuagenarian also issued a warning to Taylor Swift, firmly believing that her music’s popularity would take a hit (which it didn’t).

In a post on Truth Social in the middle of the night, President Donald Trump reacted furiously to a rumor that was visibly haunting him at 2 a.m., that NBC reportedly intended to extend Seth Meyers’ contract to continue hosting Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Trump launched his late-night post on his social network by denouncing « a sick rumor » claiming that NBC would like to extend the contract of Seth Meyers, whom he portrays as one of the least talented late-night hosts.

« There is a sick rumor going around that Fake News NBC extended the contract of one of the least talented Late Night television hosts out there, Seth Meyers, » the president wrote.

Trump continues in his message by insulting Meyers: « He has no Ratings, Talent, or Intelligence, and the Personality of an insecure child. »

Trump then questions why NBC would do this, and says he’ll make it his mission to find the answer: « So, why would Fake News NBC extend this dope’s contract. I don’t know, but I’ll definitely be finding out!!! ».

And yet… Seth Meyers has already extended his contract with NBCUniversal… in May 2024.

A contract that ensures he’ll remain at the helm of Late Night with Seth Meyers until 2028, or for the duration of Donald Trump’s second term as president.

Several observers have pointed out this contrast, reminding us that, rather than ranting on socials, the 79-year-old president would do better to go and rest at night.

After conquering Netflix as soon as it was released, becoming the hit of the summer without anyone even seeing it coming, the K-Pop phenomenon Demon Hunters is making a name for itself on Spotify thanks to its soundtrack, and now in cinemas too.

The film, which blends a fantasy universe with musical performances, captivated a vast community of fans around the world over the summer.

On Spotify, the soundtrack was a runaway success, making the album the must-have of the season.

The song Golden became the summer’s biggest hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Global 200 and dominating the charts in fourteen countries, including the U.S., the U.K. and South Korea.

It also topped the Spotify charts, topping the US daily chart and remaining number one worldwide.

At the same time, the film confirmed its huge success with a special event on August 23 and 24, shown in over 1,700 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, where it raked in almost $22 million and topped the North American box office.

The House Republican Oversight Committee has subpoenaed the estate of Jeffrey Epstein to obtain certain documents, as well as the now infamous « birthday book » prepared by Ghislaine Maxwell for Epstein’s 50th birthday.

And according to The Wall Street Journal, the book contains a mysterious message from Trump…

According to CNN, a letter from Republican Chairman James Comer to Epstein’s estate indicates that, according to several reports, the estate is in possession of the famous « birthday book ».

This book, prepared by Ghislaine Maxwell for Epstein’s birthday in January 2003, is said to contain messages from several of his close friends and family.

The committee is seeking, among other things, in this subpoena documents such as Epstein’s will, financial records and confidentiality agreements he signed.

It is also asking for any documents or records that could reasonably be interpreted as a potential list of clients involved…

The committee’s request comes after the Trump administration handed over the Epstein files, but several members of a bipartisan committee, eager to make the records public, say they essentially contain only documents already available and would represent only about 1% of what the government actually holds.

Part of this committee, as well as several observers, accuse the administration of withholding information, especially since we learned a few weeks ago that a campaign to black out and trace Trump’s name had been carried out by the FBI a few months ago.

The House Republican Oversight Committee seems determined to get to the bottom of the Epstein affair, despite the Trump administration’s attempts to block it. With this new subpoena, it is also setting a September 8 deadline for Epstein’s estate to hand over all documents.

According to Wired, thousands of migrant children have reportedly been entered into an FBI criminal DNA database under a policy instituted in 2020, during the Trump administration’s first term.

According to the most recent data from the first quarter of 2025, there has been a marked increase in DNA collections, bringing to over 1.5 million the number of migrants whose DNA would have been collected by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) since the program was launched.

Among them, migrant children, sometimes as young as 4 years old, have also been involved, with over 133,000 DNA samples recorded, according to estimates reported by Wired.

These data were integrated into the permanent CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) database, usually used in criminal investigations to compare DNA samples taken from crime scenes or from people convicted of serious offences.

According to Wired, of more than 133,000 young migrants under the age of 21, 230 were children under the age of 13, some as young as 4, and more than 30,000 were aged between 14 and 17, all permanently added to the criminal DNA database.

After the landmark 2023 settlement forcing Fox News to pay Dominion Voting Systems $787 million for disseminating false information about the 2020 presidential election, a similar new court case has just concluded.

This time, conservative TV network Newsmax is being forced to pay a hefty sum, as it is also accused of intentionally spreading false claims about Dominion’s voting machines during the same election.

Newsmax has agreed to pay Dominion Voting Systems $67 million in installments over three years, far less than the $1.6 billion claimed in the original complaint in 2021.

Newsmax explained that it had agreed to a settlement on the grounds that it would not have received a fair trial, while continuing to deny that its reporting had been defamatory.

In September 2024, the channel had already reached a similar agreement with Smartmatic for $40 million.

It’s also worth remembering that three close Trump allies have been sued for defamation by Dominion Voting Systems: Rudy Giuliani, whose proceedings have been suspended due to bankruptcy and no trial date has been set, Sidney Powell, who reached an out-of-court settlement in June 2024 for a confidential amount.

Mike Lindell, sentenced in June 2025, was forced to pay $2.3 million.

The Global Government Affairs account, managed by X, claims that the proceedings are entirely politically motivated and rejects the request for access to the platform’s algorithm.

Musk’s app claims in its statement that such a request threatens its users’ rights to privacy and freedom of expression.

For their part, the French authorities justify their investigation with suspicions of manipulation of X’s algorithm for the purposes of « foreign interference », in alleged violation of French law.

Prosecutors opened the investigation to determine whether X had broken the law by modifying its algorithms and fraudulently collecting data from its French users.

X accuses the French experts involved in the investigation of having, in the past, run campaigns encouraging users to leave the platform, such as « HelloQuitteX » or « Escape X ».

Elon Musk’s company says this raises serious concerns about the impartiality, fairness and political motivations of the proceedings.

The Trump administration is in turmoil as the Epstein scandal expands, contradicting the initial desire to close the case.

Revelations are multiplying by the day, including the claim that Donald Trump was informed as early as May that his name appeared numerous times in documents linked to Epstein.

A fact that both he and his administration had emphatically denied for several weeks.

With the House committee approving a subpoena targeting the Justice Department and Ghislaine Maxwell, the pressure to go public continues to mount.

This quest for transparency is fueling interest around this hot-button issue.

A subcommittee is now seeking to subpoena former FBI directors James Comey and Robert Mueller, as well as Bill and Hillary Clinton.

In addition to the Clintons, other personalities are also targeted by this request, such as Merrick Garland and William Barr. However, the President, who is at the center of the affair, has still not been called to testify, even though this scandal is far from over for him.

Bill and Hillary Clinton are scheduled to appear in court in October… so more details to come.
