Depuis quelques jours, Donald Trump est au centre d’une montée des tensions avec la Russie, après avoir décidé de déplacer deux sous-marins nucléaires près de la Russie en réponse à des propos de l’ancien président Dmitri Medvedev.
Medvedev, aujourd’hui vice-président du Conseil de sécurité sous Vladimir Poutine, a mis en garde contre le risque d’un conflit nucléaire si les États-Unis intensifiaient leur aide militaire à l’Ukraine.
Il a affirmé que la Russie n’hésiterait pas à utiliser son arsenal en cas de menace grave, évoqué le système de riposte automatique «Dead Hand» et estimé que chaque nouvelle escalade rapprochait les États-Unis d’un affrontement avec Moscou.
Trump a réagi en faisant déployer deux sous-marins nucléaires américains près de la Russie, présentant cette décision comme un acte de puissance et de dissuasion.
Un porte-parole de Vladimir Poutine a appelé Trump à faire preuve de retenue dans ses propos sur le nucléaire.
Il a par ailleurs relativisé le déploiement des sous-marins américains, le qualifiant de simple patrouille régulière, habituelle dans ce type d’opérations.

Happy Gilmore 2 sets a new record
Excitement was running high when Happy Gilmore 2 was released on the Netflix platform.
We know that the film broke the record for most views after three days, with over 46.7 million, but that’s not all.
According to Nielsen Streaming, theAdam Sandler comedy, released on July 25, was the most-watched film during the week of July 21-27, with over 2.9 billion viewing minutes. In fact, almost a month after its release, Happy Gilmore 2 is still one of the platform’s top-10 most popular films.

This is a record for the most viewers in a single week on Netflix, beating the mark set by Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which achieved 2.2 billion minutes in December 2023.
Happy Gilmore 2 was also the best debut on Netflix for an Adam Sandler film. Again according to Nielsen, Adam Sandler’s projects have accumulated around 61 billion minutes of viewing on Netflix.

Boseman made his mark with incredible performances, notably in the films 42 (Jackie Robinson) and Black Panther.
