Louisiana platinum DoorDash driver with more than 12,000 deliveries under his belt picks up order. Then he runs into a frustrating policy: ‘Dashers are stealing more than ever’

A platinum DoorDash driver expressed frustration with a policy that DoorDash rolled out. The seasoned, Louisiana-based driver isn’t alone.

And he knows a thing or two about making deliveries as he has completed over 12,000 deliveries, he says.

Mike (@stuntmanmike318) puts the new policy on blast via social media, speaking to how frustrating it is for him and fellow DoorDash drivers. The TikTok has generated over 13,700 views as of this writing.

What Is The DoorDash Policy He’s Upset About?

“There’s a feature at some of these merchants that is really aggravating…. You go get an order and they ask you to hit the confirm button in front of them,” he shares.

DoorDash appears to have been implementing this new rule for the past couple years, however. Mike continues to explain why this is a problem.

“When we hit confirm through DoorDash on our phones, it’s linked to their [expletive] iPad… it tells them instantly we actually hit confirm but they know everything we do. They know our name before we pull up,” he shares.

Considering DoorDash already has the driver’s information, Mike doesn’t understand why the restaurant staff acts confused when he arrives.

“They look at you stupid and ask you, ‘What are you here for?’ I’m here for a free [expletive] T-shirt bro. That’s what I am here for. You can’t tell that I am here to pick up an order? Then they ask you to hit confirm,” he vents.

“How would I even know how to come here? How would I know the name of this customer if I didn’t work for DoorDash? Why are you acting like I am trying to steal some [expletive] food?” he continues.

Mike mentions how DoorDash will kick off drivers for stealing food orders. He reveals that he makes about $30,000 doing DoorDash part time. With this as a secondary income, Mike sees no reason to mess around with people’s orders.

“Why would I mess up my reputation?” he asks.

DoorDash will lay down the law if needed as Mike brought up. A New York woman’s DoorDash driver account was deactivated when she filmed and posted a naked customer when completing a delivery. She later got charges for unlawful surveillance for posting the naked man photos for thousands to see.

“If I steal it, DoorDash will get me off of here and you won’t have to worry about me again. Don’t act like I am a [expletive] comic thief,” he concludes.

Do DoorDash Drivers Steal Food Often?

Turns out, restaurants ask DoorDash drivers to confirm the order due to the amount of food that is stolen. Viewers chimed in with their reasoning as to why they ask drivers to confirm the order, too.

“As a merchant, I ask them to.confirm, because they can cancel the order and take the food. Sadly for the good drivers the bad ones make you all look bad,” one TikTok commenter shared.

“We ask for you to confirm the customer’s name at my place of business because we had a few incidents where people took food because we thought they were DoorDash and they weren’t,” another commented.

“I’m a DoorDasher also. It’s because so many people steal the orders and then the order goes back out for a bigger tip then people accept the stolen order and every time the driver cancels after finding out it’s stolen it keeps going back out. That’s why they make sure you confirm,” a third shared.

NPR reports that 1 in 4 delivery drivers have admitted to eating food while making deliveries.

YouTuber Pedro Santigo reveals how easy it is to steal DoorDash orders. When going to a restaurant, some places will have a grab and go area. From here, the DoorDasher can simply find the order number, take the pic, and cancel the order in the app after driving to the delivery location.

“Dashers are stealing more than ever because the app allows it very easily,” Santiago shares.

With this simplicity in stealing from the pickup section, DoorDash wants the restaurant to confirm the order before the DoorDashers walks away. While this irritated Mike, this measure is done to try to reduce DoorDashers from stealing food.

Customers have complained and are confused about how drivers can cancel orders after picking up the food. Some restaurants are even eliminating DoorDash orders entirely due to the amount of stolen food.

Just Hit Confirm And Move On

Viewers were divided in the comment section as some totally understood this rant while others implied to just do your job.

“Pet peeve. Don’t tell me how to do my job,” one TikTok commenter added.

“I be feeling like that too lol like I just guessed the right name at the right restaurant,” another confirmed.

While others weren’t enjoying the rant by the platinum DoorDash driver.

“Just confirm it,” one commented.

“Just hit confirm and move on. It’s not that big of a deal,” another added. We have contacted Mike via TikTok direct message and commented on the post. DoorDash has been contacted via email. We will update this story if either replies.

More than 850 Tomahawk cruise missiles have already been launched, reflecting an aggressive strategy led by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and raising growing concerns within the Pentagon about long-term readiness.

As costs soar into the billions and stockpiles begin to shrink, the pace of the campaign is drawing increased scrutiny. The situation is unfolding as Donald Trump considers further escalation, including the possible deployment of thousands of additional troops to the Middle East.

UN rights chief implores US to investigate Iran school strike

On February 28, 2026, the United States of America seemingly bombed an all-girls elementary school in Iran, killing more than 150 children and teachers.

On March 27, during a UN Human Rights Council meeting, several UN states expressed disapproval with the illegal strike.

According to UN sources, death tolls actually surpassed 170, with at least 160 children being killed by the strike. The Council was called together for an emergency debate to discuss the attack on the school. The Shajareh Tayyebeh Girls’ School in Minab was struck on the first day of Donald Trump’s war on Iran.

Trump Lets Russian Tankers Enter Cuba

Donald Trump has made a sudden reversal in his pressure campaign against Cuba, temporarily allowing a Russian oil tanker to reach the island after weeks of strict enforcement aimed at cutting off fuel supplies.

The move comes as Cuba faces a deepening crisis marked by widespread blackouts, fuel shortages and economic strain, raising humanitarian concerns. While the administration had previously warned against any deliveries under threat of tariffs, this exception highlights shifting geopolitical calculations, as Washington balances its hardline stance with the risk of further destabilizing the country just miles from U.S. shores.

Tehran Claims Strike on US Ship: «Enter Range and We Fire»

Tensions between Iran and the United States have taken a new turn following claims from Tehran that it launched missiles toward a U.S. aircraft carrier in the region. The assertion, accompanied by dramatic footage released online, has intensified an already volatile situation marked by military movements and conflicting political narratives.

While Iranian media presents the incident as a direct response to perceived threats, U.S. officials have firmly denied that any strike occurred. As both sides continue to exchange sharply opposing accounts, the episode underscores the growing uncertainty surrounding the conflict and the increasing risk of miscalculation in a highly sensitive environment.
