A January 6 rioter who wanted to « kill » police officers now works at the DOJ

A January 6 insurectionist who shouted "kill 'em!" at the Capitol Police is now a Department of Justice employee.

A wave of public outrage currently surrounds Jared Wise, a participant in the January 6, 2021 violent riot on Capitol Hill.

In a recently-released video, Wise can be heard exhorting the demonstrators. "kill 'em!" he calls out, aiming at the police who were trying to contain the crowd, while calling them "Nazis".

Anger at this individual and the Trump administration exploded after the recent revelation of his hiring as a senior adviser to the Justice Department.

Donald Trump granted, without exception, a pardon to all participants in the January 6 riot, calling them "great patriots", "warriors" and even "hostages" when he referred to their imprisonment as an injustice, without distinguishing between violent and non-violent criminals.

Wise, a former FBI agent, was due to go on trial just ten days before Trump's return to the White House to answer six charges related to the riots. He had stated that he would have felt justified in using force against Capitol Police had the opportunity arisen, and now holds a position within the Trump administration.
