The wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former TV presenter Lauren Sanchez in Venice is causing quite a stir. The billionaire has privatized part of the city from June 26 to 28 for the ceremony. For his two hundred guests, almost all the city's water cabs were requisitioned and canals were closed. At least seven yachts dropped anchor and 95 private jets requested permission to land, reports Il Corriere della Sera.

Three million euros donated for the lagoon
Jeff Bezos, who owns around $215 billion worth of Amazon shares, will also donate three million euros to an association for the protection of the lagoon, Venice International University and Unesco, according to Luca Zaia, president of the Veneto region.
