Jeffrey Epstein’s client list never existed according to the Trump administration

After months of waiting and false promises, notably with the Epstein files handed over to right-wing influencers, without any new information compared to the revelations already made by the Biden administration, many were still hoping for a bombshell.

The Trump administration has been piling up delays on this issue, largely due to the Justice Department and Pam Bondi, who claimed at the start of Trump's term to have Epstein's client list on her desk, ready to be reviewed and made public.

But now, according to Axios, the Trump administration says the list actually never existed, which quickly angered many Trump supporters who had long hoped to see big revelations there.

For several months, the Trump administration had been facing strong pressure to declassify documents related to the court case of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, found dead in prison during Donald Trump's first term.

Among those waiting for the documents to be published were two distinct camps: on the one hand, Republicans who were convinced that the list contained the names of celebrities and political figures (mostly Democrats, of course), who were supposed to have been on Jeffrey Epstein's client list.

On the other, Democrats argued that the reason the Trump administration was delaying the release of the documents so long was because Trump's own name was on them, an accusation recently taken up by Elon Musk, now in open conflict with the president.

The latter was quick to react to the Trump administration's announcement, posting a series of memes about it on his own social network, and claiming it was "the final straw".
