Meeting war victims at the Superhumans Center
Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III, known as the Duke of Sussex, visited injured people and war victims at the Superhumans Center, located in Lviv, in western Ukraine.

This orthopedic clinic, opened in 2023, offers military and civilians high-tech prosthetics, surgical care and psychological support.

The prince also met with Natalia Kalmykova, Ukrainian Minister of Veterans Affairs.
A visit held secret for security reasons
It was only after his departure that the BBC revealed his presence in Ukraine. The prince's spokesman then confirmed this visit to the Agence France-Presse, specifying that it had taken place without media coverage for security reasons.
Helping former military personnel
He stated that this trip to Ukraine, which has been at war since the Russian invasion in February 2022, is part of Harry's long-standing mission, as a former British army captain, to help former military personnel.
The Invictus Games Foundation
Harry served for ten years in the British army. In 2014, he founded the Invictus Games, a competition aimed at promoting, through sports, the physical and mental rehabilitation of wounded or disabled war veterans. Harry was accompanied by members of the Invictus Games Foundation during his visit to Lviv.
In Court in London
A few hours before this trip, the prince was still in London, where he appeared in court. He was defending his appeal against the decision of the British government to reduce his police protection when he travels to Britain.

The second member of the royal family to visit Ukraine
Harry is the second member of the royal family to visit Ukraine since the Russian invasion. He was preceded by his aunt, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who went to Kyiv in April 2024 to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky and victims of the war.
Charles III shows his support for Ukraine
Other members of the royal family have also expressed their support for Ukraine. King Charles notably welcomed Mr. Zelensky to his Sandringham residence two days after the Ukrainian president's heated altercation with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, at the White House.
