Trump demands firing of CNN reporter: « She should be thrown out like a dog »

In response to a CNN report on the damage caused to Iran's nuclear facilities, US President Donald Trump demanded that journalist Natasha Bertrand be fired and "thrown out like a dog".

"Natasha Bertrand should be FIRED from CNN! I watched her for three days doing Fake News. She should be IMMEDIATELY reprimanded, then thrown out like a dog," he posted on Truth Social.

In response to the head of state's comments, CNN said it "100% support Natasha Bertrand's journalism", as well as that of her colleagues.

CNN was the first media outlet to reveal that last weekend's US airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites had not completely destroyed the key infrastructure of the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.the key infrastructure of the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. Her slant was so obviously negative, besides, she doesn’t have what it takes to be an on camera correspondent, not even close. FIRE NATASHA!", he added.

CNN reported that this first US intelligence assessment was produced by the Pentagon's intelligence agency (DIA). It is based on a damage analysis carried out by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) after the strikes, according to one of CNN's sources.

Two of the people involved in the assessment told CNN that Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium had not been destroyed. One said the centrifuges were largely "intact". Another source added that, according to available information, the enriched uranium had been removed from the sites before the US strikes.

CNN also stressed that this analysis was still ongoing, and could evolve as the investigation progresses.

The White House has acknowledged the existence of this assessment, while declaring that it disagrees with its conclusions.
