Trump: « Warmest regards as you conspire against the United States of America»
Trump accuses Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un of "conspiring" against the United States.
A conspiratorial line?
Donald Trump launched on Truth Social serious accusations against the leaders of China, Russia and North Korea, accusing all three of "conspiring" against the United States.
A huge parade
As the three leaders gathered in Beijing's Tiananmen Square for a huge military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japan and the end of the Second World War, Trump issued a message for the occasion.
A cordial tone... at first
This one began with a cordial tone towards Xi: "May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration."
"as you conspire against The United States"
But Trump's message ended with a direct accusation: "Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America."
The crucial role
Trump then questioned China's willingness to acknowledge the crucial role played by the United States in winning the Second World War.
The big question
He declared: "The big question to be answered is whether or not President Xi of China will mention the massive amount of support and «blood» that The United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader."
