The tallest teenager in the world is a 16-year-old from Quebec

Olivier Rioux is 16 years old and thanks to his great height, he is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest teenager in the world at 7 feet 6.

7 feet 6! Nothing less!

If Rioux has been the talk of the town for the past few days, it’s because of a photo that has been circulating on the networks, where the young man is next to Chuck Swirsky, a radio commentator for the Chicago Bulls who is 5 feet 8.

https://twitter.com/ctsbulls/status/1584686050466668544

Of course, Olivier plays the number 5 position (pivot) in basketball and expectations are high. He is currently “dribbling” his second year at IMG Academy, but his participation in the Canada Summer Games has been the main reason he has made a name for himself.

He is definitely a specimen, but that doesn’t mean he should sit back and watch the parade go by. Olivier needs to continue to hone his mobility and agility, while still enjoying playing and competing.

“People see his size and their expectations are pretty high. For me, it’s the little things like his mobility and agility, how he moves, how he conceptualizes the game – how much fun he has competing and playing,” said Michael Meeks, Basketball Canada coach.

Olivier’s family is also very large, so the family home is adapted for giants, with higher ceilings, for example. The door frames have not been modified, however, so Olivier’s head has certainly met those frames many times before.

The kid doesn’t have to jump to dunk, check this out:

A robot (war) dog with a machine gun on its back!

A viral video, created by a Chinese military contractor, shows a scary new technology – a robotic military dog that disembarks from a drone with a machine gun.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJRaLTvO3LU

On said video, a drone is seen flying over a building, and drops a robot dog on a roof.

Once dropped, the dog gets on its four legs and immediately starts looking for a target near the building.

On its back, it carries an automatic weapon ready to fire.

According to a report from WarZone, the machine gun on the robot is most likely a very light Chinese weapon named QBB-97, which can fire 650 rounds per minute.

Here is the description of this “violent” robot:

“War dogs descending from the sky, aerial assault, the Red Wing Forward drone delivers combat robot dogs, which can be directly inserted into the weak link behind the enemy to launch a surprise attack or can be placed on the enemy’s roof to occupy command heights to suppress firepower. And ground troops can conduct a three-dimensional pincer attack on the enemy in the building.”

Reassuring!

Two Ravens rookies got REALLY scared in a haunted house

Baltimore Ravens rookies Damarion “Pepe” Williams and Kyle Hamilton completely lost their minds in a haunted house they visited.

The two defensive backs showed up at Baltimore’s Bennett’s Curse maze, known as one of the scariest in the world, with the goal of facing their fears.

Of course, the walk was caught on video and it ended up on the Ravens’ Twitter account.

When walking through this haunted house, you have to wear 3D glasses, allowing your eyes to live a unique experience. However, some people give up and remove the glasses to finish the tour… as was the case for Hamilton.

Hamilton closed his eyes and ended up holding on to his teammate “Pepe” because it was getting too hard to face the monsters that came out of nowhere!

In short, the best part of this stressful journey was when the two men were chased by a psychopath in a straitjacket.

This “nice” guy was in the asylum part of the maze…

A replica of Jacques Villeneuve’s Williams sold at auction

On October 26, 1997, Jacques Villeneuve won the Formula 1 Championship, right under the nose of his fierce opponent and enemy on the track, Michael Schumacher.

This great victory marked the imagination of many people because a first Canadian was then crowned F1 champion, moreover following an unhealthy manoeuvre by the one who was going to become seven times world champion.

25 years later, this historic triumph is still remembered, and in order to celebrate it properly, a replica of the Williams FW19 has been designed and put up for auction.

F1 Authentics presents this superb show car, which has original bodywork, including the nose, front wing, floor, hood and rear wing tip.

The car is also equipped with real wheels, brake discs, calipers, pedals and the original steering wheel. It has a lot of original parts that this car used during the Villeneuve championship in 1997.

On the other hand, this car that was placed at auction does not have a gearbox or engine, which nevertheless makes it an incredible collector’s item for exhibitions.

The highest bid when the auction closed was 111,500 euros (151,467 in Canadian dollars).

Monster fire leaves one person seriously injured

A monster fire broke out early Tuesday morning on an industrial estate in North Wales, and as firefighters struggled to mitigate the monster, one person was rushed to hospital.

“A patient was transported by road to Maelor Hospital in Wrexham for treatment,” according to the emergency services, which were evidently on the scene.

The force of the fire and smoke was so powerful, firefighters required residents to keep doors and windows tightly closed.

“A large plume of smoke can be seen for several miles around – we are advising local residents to continue to keep windows and doors closed and people to stay away from the area,” a spokesman said.

Since the fire started, emergency services have announced that it is now under control, despite the striking images of the scene as a huge column of black smoke rises to the sky.

About the injured person, his health condition is still unknown at this time.

Several pictures of this scene are available from HERE.
