Sacha Baron Cohen To Be a Father

The Borat star and Fisher will become parents in the winter.  The two confirmed the news at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles.

Cohen, 35, and Fisher, 31, have been dating for five years.  Cohen found quick stardom after the release of his film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Keith Richards Would Tour in a Wheelchair

While the legendary band prepares for the European portion of their A Bigger Bang tour, Richards shared his feelings with ITV.  Richards said of the experience and the fans, "You don’t take it for granted… I quite see the attraction but it must be something to do with the music… I’ll do it my wheelchair…it’s easy for him [Charlie] he’s sitting down already!"

In 2006, the A Bigger Bang tour became the best-selling concert in history.

A Lawsuit Against Johnny Knoxville

Perry Caravello claims that Knoxville, and television personalities Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla, promised him $10 million to put his penis in a mousetrap.  The actor claims that he was never paid, and futhermore, that the painful stunt was released on the Internet without his permission.

The case will be heard by a Los Angeles court.

Kevin Bacon Plans Next Film

Bacon joins Frank Langella, Michael Sheen, Sam Rockwell, Toby Jones and Matthew McFadyen, who will be directed by Ron Howard (Apollo 13).

The film is based on a series of interviews between David Frost and former American President Richard Nixon in 1977.  During the last interview, Nixon admitted his guilt in the Watergate scandal.

Bacon will play Nixon’s cabinet chief, Jack Brennan.  Filming for Frost/Nixon is set to begin later this summer.

Jim Carrey To Star in New Film

The Canadian actor will play a conman who falls in love with his prison mate in jail.  After his love is released from prison, he escapes four times.

The film is based on a true story written by Steve McVicker of the Houston Chronicle.

Paul Newman’s Genorousity

The veteran actor offered the money to the arts school at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.

Newman, 82, graduated from the school in 1949.  The donation to the Paul Newman Foundation will help fund the education of minorities and other underprivileged students.

Newman, who earned an Oscar in 1986 for his performance in the film Color of Money, has recently announced his retirement from film.

Courtney Love Makes a Return

The rocker, who is the former lead singer of the band Hole, made a suprise appearance at the Los Angeles House of Blues on Friday.  The star sang four songs from her next disc, Nobody’s Daughter.

Love has been working on her next disc after a two-year absense, during which time she entered a treatment clinic and became sober.

No official release date has been announced for Nobody’s Daughter.

Pirates of the Caribbean Wins Big

The second installment of the film trilogy was named film of the year, while Depp was named best actor.  Depp, who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the films, said, "I’m not very good at this kind of thing, but just to say thanks to all of you guys. … I’m deeply touched."

Actor Will Ferrell earned the trophy for best on-screen kiss from the film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

The prize for best villain went to Jack Nicholson for his performance in the film The Departed.  Gerard Butler took the best combat scene for the film 300, while Jaden Smith earned the title of discovery of the year for his work in the film The Pursuit of Happyness.

Actress Cameron Diaz presented her Shrek the Third co-star, Mike Myers, with a special honour award to recognise his career.

Paris Hilton Incarcerated

The 26 year-old star entered a detention center in California on Sunday at 11:30.  She will be serving her 45 day sentence at the facility.

The actress and singer, who could be released in 23 days for good behaviour, turned herself in to the sheriff the same night she walked the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards.

Hilton was sentenced after being found guilty of violating her probation by driving on a suspended license.

Audrey Tautou To Play Coco Chanel

Anne Fontaine, the director of the film Nettoyage à sec et Entre ses mains among others, will be adapting the life of Gabrielle Chanel, better known as Coco, into film.

Tautou, who starred in the film Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain, will play the poor orphan with no education who became one of the biggest names in fashion.  The film will follow Chanel’s childhood, adolescense and years of training.

Filming is set to begin in 2008.
