New Trailer for The Simpsons Movie

The Simpsons Movie is directed by David Silverman, and will be in theatres on July 27.

Fans of this animated television show will recognize the voices of Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Pamela Hayden, Tress MacNeille and Albert Brooks.

Ron Howard May Redo Caché

According to Variety, the director of The Da Vinci Code, is in talks to redo the film by Michael Haneke.

This movie won many awards at the Cannes Film Festival in 2005.  It won for Best Director, starring Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche.

In this movie, a journalist George starts receiving anonymous videos of himself with his family.  The videos become more and more personal, leading George to believe he has the known the sender for quite some time.

Trailer for New Scarlett Johansson Movie

The Nanny Diaries is based on the satirical novel by Nicola Kraus and Emma McLaughlin.  Johansson plays a teacher from New Jersey that becomes a nanny for a rich family from Manhatten. 

The movie is directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini.  This romantic comedy is coming to theatres in April. In addition to Johansson, the cast includes, Laura Linney, Paul Giamatti, Donna Murphy, Alicia Keys and Chris Evans.

Cameron Diaz Wins Her Case

The 34-year-old star sued the tabloid for defamation after the National Enquirer published a story in May 2005 stating that the actress had an affair with a married man who was a television producer.

The tabloid showed photos, and claimed that Diaz was cheating on the boyfriend she had at that time, Justin Timberlake.

Despite a formal apology, the National Enquirer was forced to pay a large sum of money to the actress, when it was proven that this story was unfounded.

Concerts to Save the Earth

Al Gore, former vice-president of the United States, and director of the movie An Inconvenient Truth, announced this concert series.

The goal of Live Earth is to make people around the world aware of global warming.

The concerts will be in Johannesburg, London, Shanghai, Sydney and three U.S. cities.  There will also be concerts in Brazil, Japan and Antarctica.  The cities in these countries will be announced in the near future.

Al Gore commented on the pressing need to intervene, at a press conference in Los Angeles. "The climate crisis will only be stopped by an unprecedented and sustained global movement."

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz, Foo Fighters, Keane, Snow Patrol, Duran Duran, Bloc Party and Paolo Nutini have confirmed that they will be performing at this concert series.

Keri Russell Has Tied the Knot

Russell, former star of the television series, Felicity, and one who played opposite Tom Cruise in MissionImpossible III, got married on Valentine’s Day.

The couple, both 30 years of age, recently announced they were expecting their first child this summer.

The wedding was celebrated with a handful of friends and family, during a snowstorm in New York.

Beyoncé Doing a Swimsuit Collection

Beyoncé just posed in the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated, and will take advantage of this opportunity to launch her collection.

The star is thrilled about being in Sports Illustrated.  She expressed, " You grow up seeing those issues and they’re so amazing, it’s crazy that I was able to be on the cover. It’s amazing for me. They called and they said they were doing a music issue and they said they didn’t know if I would be willing to wear the swimsuits."

She added, "My mother actually designed all of the swimsuits. We have a clothing line, House of Dereon, so that was a great launch for us."

Sigourney Weaver Going Back to Science-Fiction

The 57-year-old actress who starred in the Aliens movies, will be working with the Canadian director in his upcoming movie, Avatar.

Filming of this 3D production will begin in April.  It will be in theatres in 2009.

Cameron worked with Weaver in Aliens, and commented on his choice of actress, "Sigourney and I have always looked back fondly on our collaboration in Aliens, and we’re excited at the prospect of working together again."

The director sees many strengths in Weaver. "She has a unique blend of strength, sensitivity and intelligence needed to play the character of Grace, and she has a special significance for fans of science fiction."

Madonna Dreams of Becoming Like Gandhi

In an interview with the satellite radio Sirius, the pop star revealed that spirituality is a big part of her life.

The 48-year-old singer mentioned, "For me we all need to be Jesus in our time. Jesus’s message was to love your neighbor as yourself, and these are people in need. I hope that people got that message.

This interview will be played by Sirius on Saturday.

Roger Waters in Quebec City and Montreal

Roger Waters, creator of the album, The Wall, has announced on his website that he will be in Quebec  City on June 6, and the next day will perform in Montreal.

The singer/bass player was in Montreal in September 2006 when he did a concert dedicated to the Pink Floyd album, The Dark Side of the Moon.
