Eddie Murphy Questions Paternity

During an interview with Dutch TV which aired Monday, the Dreamgirls star was questioned about his relationship with Brown.  Murphy said, "And I don’t know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir."

The actor, who was divorced last April, was dating the British singer for several months.

This week, Murphy was spotted in public in the arms of his new love, film producer Tracey Edmonds.

Girls Aloud Star Joins Ultimo

The 25 year-old singer follows the footsteps of Rachel Hunter, Penny Lancaster and Helena Christensen, who have each been spokesmodels for the company.

Harding admitted that although she felt very sexy, she felt lonely for her band mates.  She explained, “I was really nervous for my first shoot with Ultimo without the other girls."

Harding added, “However, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to working with Ultimo next year.”

Britney Spears Is Most-Searched Celeb

A list of the most-searched names and news stories in the past twelve months has been released by Yahoo!.  Spears has been topping the list for five of the past six years.

Also in the top 10 are singer Shakira (3), Jessica Simpson (4), and Paris Hilton (5).

The most-searched news story of the past year was the death of Steve Irwin, the "Crocodile Hunter".

Tori Spelling To Become An Author

The former star of television’s Beverly Hills, 90210 has signed a contract to write her story.  The 33 year-old woman, who is pregnant with her first child, has not yet told her family of her plans. 

Spelling and her mother have had a difficult relationship for years, and her famous father, Aaron Spelling, recently passed away.  The star is worried about her brother Randy’s reaction.  Spellling confided, "I hope that it doesn’t cause more damage. Randy’s kind of caught in the middle because he has a very close relationship with my mother and a very close relationship with me."

The actress added, "My mother and I have always had a difficult relationship. There has always been love, and I don’t doubt now that there’s love."

According to initial information, the book will discuss cosmetic surgery, past relationships, and her father.

Aaron Spelling, who died in June, left nearly almost one million dollars of his estate, estimated at $300 million, to his daughter.

Pedro Almodovar and Penelope Cruz Plan Next Project

Following the success of their film Volver, Almodovar and Cruz have decided to pursue making the film La Piel que habito.

According to Variety, Almodovar wants the Spanish actress in the film about a man who wants revenge against the men who raped his daughter.

If Almodovar gets the green light for the project, he hopes to begin shooting in February or March.

For the filmmaker and the actress, it will be another project together, as they have worked on All About My Mother, Live Flesh and Volver.

A New Flame for Eddie Murphy

Murphy and Edmonds, a film producer, have been dating for a little more than a month.  The news was confirmed by Edmonds herself, who spoke to People magazine. 

Edmonds, who is the former wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, confirmed that she has been dating Murphy, "for about a month and a half."

When asked if she was happy she smiled and said, "Yes, very happy. We’re having fun."

The two stars were recently spotted at the New York premiere of the film Dreamgirls, which stars singer Beyonce Knowles.

Tracey Edmonds split from "Babyface" in October 2005 after thirteen years together.

Mary J Blige Dominates Billboard Awards

The 35 year-old soul singer earned the title of R&B singer of the year, among other awards, with her most recent release, The Breakthrough. 

Hip-hop star Chris Brown also had a successful evening, earning five trophies, including new artist of the year, artist of the year, and singer of the year.  Rihanna was named female singer of the year. 

The Canadian band Nickelback took the prize for best duo or group of the year, while Nelly Furtado won the song of the year for Promoiscuous.

Tony Bennett was also honoured during the evening for his career in music.  The Billboard Music Awards were hosted by Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

Lindsay Lohan Wants to Play Stevie Nicks

The 20 year-old actress and singer told Life & Style magazine that she would love to play the Fleetwood Mac singer in film.  The magazine wrote, "Lindsay says that movies like Ray and Walk the Line are good examples of the kinds of projects she’d like to do."

If the project gets the green light, the tumultuous story of Stevie Nick will hit the silver screen, from her time with Fleetwood Mac to her solo career in the 1980s.

Volver Leads the European Film Awards

The film, starring Penelope Cruz, beat competition from The Lives of Others – or Das Leben Der Anderen, directed by German filmmaker Florian Henckel Von Donnersmarck, as the best film.  The German film did, however, win two other prizes, for best actor (Ulrich Muehe) and best screenplay.

The European Film Awards, which were presented for the 19th time, also honoured director Roman Polanski for his career in film.

Coldplay To Present New Songs

The group’s leader, Chris Martin, is ready to visit Argentina, Brazil, and Chili in February, and Mexico in March.  Coldplay will perform in small venues, which is ideal for presenting new music.

If the songs are well received, they will be added to the fourth CD from Coldplay.  The band’s last disc, X&Y, which was released in 2005, sold more than 8.5 million copies and was the highest selling record of the year.
