Sheryl Crow’s Difficult Year
The singer appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show where she talked about her difficulties during the past year. Though she admits it was a tough time, she is happy with the clarity that she now has for life.
Regarding her relationship with Armstrong, Crow feels that the most difficult part of the split was its very public nature. The star added that although the two are not in a functional relationship, their love doesn’t end.
As for the cancer battle, the 44 year-old singer said that she discovered how good it feels to cry, and now tries to cry every day.
Now cancer-free for the past six months, Crow is moving on with her life. She recently purchased a new home in Nashville where she spends time appreciating special moments with family and friends.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Haggis, who earned an Oscar for his film Crash, has teamed with Warner Independent Pictures to shoot the mysterious thriller.
The film follows the story of a veteran father, played by Jones, who is searching for his son, a soldier who disappeared after serving in Iraq.
Filming for the project is set to begin this month in New Mexico and Morocco.
The Discovery Channel and Animal Planet will present the show on January 21. Last September, Irwin was killed after being pierced in the heart by a stingray while filming the television special.
The Crocodile Hunter will be shown on board his boat, the Croc One, with oceanographer Phillipe Cousteau. Cousteau will narrate the 90 minute documentary.

The War is Omnipresent at Sundance
The prestigious independent film festival has announced 64 movies which will compete on January 18. Again this year, the Iraq war is at the centre of several of the film’s storylines. Grace is Gone with John Cusack, Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, and No End in Sight are just a few of the films on the subject.
Created in 1981 by actor Robert Redford, the Sundance Film Festival has become the most important independent film festival in the world. The ceremony will take place from January 18-28 in Park City, Utah.

Madonna’s Adoption Must Wait
Madonna is not discouraged by the news that several human rights groups will be allowed their day in court. On Wednesday, a judge agreed to hear from 67 different organisations who are objecting to the adoption of little David Banda. The groups are claiming that adoption laws in Malawi have not been respected in light of Madonna’s celebrity status.
A lawyer for the singer, Alan Chinula, said, "They (Madonna and Ritchie) called me from London and I explained to them the ruling. They have no problem with the ruling and are also willing to sit back and wait."
According to the attorney, the two plan to follow the law to the letter with their adoption.
Paramount has confirmed that the film franchise will be releasing another installment. The Beverly Hills Cop films, which began in 1984, have earned more than $650 million at the box offices.
The story of the next episode is not yet known, and no release date or filming date has been announced.

According to People magazine, the Desperate Housewives star and the NBA player became engaged on Wednesday.
Following a San Antonio Spurs game, Parker flew to Los Angeles to ask for his girlfriend’s hand in marriage.
Liza Anderson, a spokesperson for the actress, confirmed the news to People, saying, "Eva and Tony are officially engaged." Anderson added, "The couple have never been happier."
Longoria, 31, and Parker, 24, plan to wed next summer in France. The two stars have been dating since November, 2004. There were rumours of a break up in September, but it seems that the lovers have worked out their problems.
