The Rolling Stones Beat Another Record

According to Billboard magazine, the legendary group is in first place for top grossing tour in history.

Since August 2005, the group has made $437 million for their last tour.  They did 110 concerts, and were seen by 3.5 million fans.

The Stones managed to have this success, despite health problems incurred during the tour.  Singer, Mick Jagger, 63, had to cancel a few shows due to a sore throat.  A few other concerts were cancelled when guitarist, Keith Richards, received a head injury in Fiji.

The Irish group U2, held the previous record for the highest grossing tour.  Their Vertigo tour made $377 million.

A Theme Park Based on Bruce Lee

This information was revealed by the President of Bruce Lee’s fan club, Wong Yiu-Keung.

The park will have a statue, a memorial, and a martial arts academy, in honour of the 34-year-old.

According to a Chinese newspaper, this park will cost more than $25 million. 

Bruce Lee was born in the United States, but became a celebrity in Hong Kong because he moved to Hong Kong when was three.

His well known film included, Fist of Fury, Enter the Dragon and Game of Death.

The actor died in 1973, at the age of 32, of a brain edema (accumulation of fluid and swelling), caused by an abnormal reaction to painkillers he had been prescribed.

Jessica Simpson May Play in Blond Ambition

The movie is inspired by the 80’s movie Working Girl, starring Melanie Griffith.

Simpson told British magazine Empire, "It’s definitely the theme of Working Girl. This small-town girl moving to New York City and rising up into this great career as a businesswomen. But it’s definitely not a remake."

She added, "I’ve never had the leading role and with this one it’s really going to be nice to just dive in and kinda wrap my arms around it."

Blond Ambition is being directed by Scott Marshall (Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement).  Filming dates have not been released.

Beyonce Knowles is Looking for Dancers

Beyonce is looking for the best dancers on the planet.

The R&B star is holding auditions on December 6 in Los Angeles.  There will be also be auditions in Atlanta, Houston, New  York and Chicago. 

The dancers, male and female, can be from any country in the world.  Dancers must be at least 18 years of age.

Beyonce Knowles will be beginning her world tour on April 30, in Frankfurt, Germany.

Green Day Releasing Old Albums

On December 19, the albums, 1,039/ Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk! will be edited and released.

These albums originally appeared under the independent label Lookout! Records.  After resolvng a dispute regarding copyrights, the group was able to re-edit these recordings.

These albums were  released in 1990 and 1992, long before the group became popular.  They became famous in 1994, with the album Dookie.

The Hobbit Proposed to Sam Raimi

According to the website TheOneRing, Sam Raimi, director of the Spider-Man films, may take Peter Jackson’s place to direct The Hobbit.

This information was revealed a few days after Jackson (The Lord of the Rings), confirmed that he would not be continuing with this production following a dispute with New Line Cinema in regards to The Fellowship of the Ring.

Although this offer may seem interesting, in order for Raimi to accept, he would have to give up Spider-Man, which he is currently working on Spider-Man 4.

Big Plans for Naomi Campbell

The 36-year-old actress believes that it is time to settle down and have children. 

According to Grazia Magazine, the celebrity mode;, who has dated mkany other stars, including, Usher, Robert DeNiro and Sylvester Stallone, wants to have a baby, but cannot keep a man due to her fiery temperament.

A source revealed, "Naomi has always had a reputation of being demanding but there are many reasons why she’s struggled to settle down. When she became famous, she was allowed to behave like a needy child and had people like Gianni Versace protecting her. Getting older means she has to deal with her issues."

The source added, "She is beginning to realise that her biological clock is ticking."

Last week, Naomi Campbell went to court to face charges of assault.  She apparently hit one of her former assistants on the head with a cordless phone.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman Join Forces

The movie is filmed in Australia, and directed by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge!, Strictly Ballroom, Romeo & Juliet).  It is a romantic, action and adventure film, titled Australia.

It is the story of an English aristocrat (Kidman), that inherits a huge ranch in Australia.  There is  someone who plans on taking over her land, so she hires Jackman to take her cattle hundreds of kilometres cross the desert of Australia.  When the couple arrives in Darwin, they realize that Pearl Harbor was attacked.

Filming will take about five months, and is beginning in March.

Bono Compared to Beethoven

The news was reported by Gramophone magazine.  In their latest edition, the British publication looks at certain similarities between the two personalities.  The magazine’s editor, James Inverne, explained, "Beethoven was a major cultural figure in his day, just as Bono is now.  In the 18th century, composers were the pop stars of their day."

Inverne added, "Beethoven was also a regular guest at court.  Bono has a comparable relationship with Tony Blair and George W Bush, and the dynamic is still the same."

Heidi Klum and Seal Welcome New Baby

Johan Riley Fyodor taiwo Samuel was born on Wednesday (November 22) in Los Angeles.  He joins older half-sister, Leni, and brother Henry.

The singer wrote on their website, "To our children, a brother, to our parents, a grandson, to my wife and I, a son, to our family, a blessing.  He is healthy, beautiful and looks just like his mother."
