David Gilmour Pays Tribute to Syd Barrett

Gilmour will be allowing fans to download the Pink Floyd song Arnold Layne for the first time.  The remixed song is being released in memory of Barrett, who died in July at the age of 60.

Gilmour, who joined the group shortly before Barrett left in 1968, has recorded two versions of Arnold Layne and an accoustic recording of Dark Glove from Barrett’s solo work.

The new version of Arnold Layne features David Bowie and Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright.

The song will be available for downloading on November 25.

Nelly Furtado Refuses To Pose Nude

The Maneater singer turned her nose up to the $500,000 offer from the well-known men’s magazine, although she admits that she was flattered by the offer.

The 28 year-old star from Victoria, Canada, told MTV, "It was tempting. It almost plays on your vanity. But I like to save a little bit for the bedroom. It’s something to be preserved a little bit for yourself. But that’s not to say that I would never do it. As a pop star, people would love to see you naked every day."

Heath Ledger to Star in Dirt Music

Directed by Phillip Noyce (Catch a Fire) the drama will also star Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener).

Dirt Music is set in Australia, and follows the story of Luther Fox, a broken man who makes his living as an illegal fisherman.  His miserable life changes after he meets Georgie Jutland (Weisz), the wife of the most prosperous fisherman in the area. 

Filming for Dirt Music will begin in a few weeks.

A Christmas Song for The Killers

The Las Vegas quartet has recorded the song A Great Big Sleigh.  Singer Brandon Flowers confirmed the news to NME, saying, "There are some great Christmas tunes that have been recorded over the years from the likes of George Michael (in Wham!) and John Lennon."

Flowers added, "Sometimes you forget. You get so caught up in business and being an adult that you forget to have fun and enjoy things and be nice to people."

The song A Great Big Sleigh will be available for downloading on December 5.

In the biographical film, Miss Potter, Renee Zellweger plays Beatrix Potter.  The young woman becomes a famous writer following the publication of her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

The cast also includes, Ewan McGregor, Emily Watson, Barbara Flynn, Bill Paterson and Lloyd Owen.

First Trailer for Wild Hogs

This comedy, directed by Walt Becker (Van Wilder, Buying the Cow), tells the story of three biker fathers, who are having problems with the Hells Angels.

In addition to John Travolta and Tim Allen, the comedy to be released in March is also starring Martin Lawrence, William H. Macy, Tichina Arnold and Jill Henessy.

The third movie about the spider-man, will be in theatres on May 4.  It shows the hero torn between good and evil.

This latest Spider-Man movie shows the hero torn between his love for M.J., played by Kirsten Dunst, and his superhero responsibilities.

Spider-Man 3 is starring Tobey Maguire, and directed by Sam Raimi.

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer Give it Another Go

The two stars were dating a few weeks ago, and are going to give second chance to their flame.

According to People magazine, friends of the couple stated that the two celebrities want to take their time, and try to make it work.

One friend expressed that, "They’re fond of each other. There’s a flirtation."

Last Saturday, the couple was spotted in Los Angeles.  Simpson and Mayer are regulars at Paradise Cove in Malibu.

The couple got close last June when they met in a New York nightclub.

Paris Hilton a Public Spectacle

The star surprised a lot of people when she showed up in a Vegas bar.  According to several sources, the star got on the stage to sing a couple of her songs, and vomitted at the end of her performance.

Hilton’s conduct was witnessed by singer Joshua Radin, who reported it on the site, MySpace.  He claims he was sitting beside Hilton for almost 5 hours.  He claims that Hilton consumed a huge amount of vodka.

He explained, "Paris gets up on stage, has the people in charge throw her ‘record’ on the house stereo for her to lip sync two of her songs. She gets up on the stage, pukes, leaves…" 

Ironically, Radin concluded by stating, "I find the music business charming."
