Police Called to McCartney Home

Monday, Heather Mills McCartney arrived at the home to collect their daughter, Beatrice, but Mills was unable to enter the residence.

Mills’ security guard had climbed over the fence of the property to let her in when McCartney’s staff phoned the police.  Apparently, McCartney had decided to change the locks on the home due to their divorce.

No comment on the incident has been made by the singer.

Paris Hilton To Drive in Rally

The Simple Life star will be taking part in the 2007 Gumball Rally.  The 3,000 mile race follows a course from London to Asia.

Hilton, 25, met Maximillion Cooper, the race chief, last week in Saint-Tropez.  According to a source, Cooper thought that Paris would make a great addition to the competition.  The source said, "Max asked Paris to take part and she agreed immediately."

James Blunt Ready to Write Second Album

The You’re Beautiful singer has been enjoying a holiday in Spain, where he said he found inspiration for his music.  He explained, "I’ve been all over the world, and so many people seem to look out for themselves. And then in Ibiza everyone seems to have a smile on their face, and they all look out for each other."

Last month, Blunt purchased a home in Ibiza for a cost of $4.5 million US.

Shakira Makes Middle East Appeal

The 29 year-old star, who had a number one hit, Hips Don’t Lie, with singer Wyclef Jean, is demanding that world powers find a way to stop the conflict in the region.  Shakira’s father is Lebanese.

After receiving an award in Mexico, Shakira told the crowd, "It breaks my heart to know that while this is happening, we stay silent.  I hope that my generation will call on the world powers to stop this conflict, to intervene."

"There must be an international intervention as soon as possible," she added.

Brooke Burke Awaits a Child

The star, who is the hostess of the CBS television show Rock Star: Supernova, and her boyfriend, former Baywatch star, David Charvet, are expecting a baby, according to Us Weekly.

The baby will be number three for the 34 year-old beauty.  Burke has two children from her previous marriage.  The baby will be the first child for Charvet, who has been dating Burke for less than one year.

Bruce Willis Sues Childhood Friend

The Die Hard star has filed the claim against Bruce DiMattia.  Last week, Willis was deposed in a Los Angeles court.

Willis claims that DeMattia is threatening to release a tell-all book, as well as personal photographs and video footage of Willis and his family, unless Willis pays him money.

In the lawsuit, Willis is demanding the return of his personal property, as well as one million dollars in damages.

Scarlett Johansson Finally Takes a Vacation

The 21 year-old star has decided to take a summer holiday after filming four movies last year.  The star of the films Lost in Translation, The Island and Scoop, among others, will officially be on holiday until September, when she begins work on The Other Boleyn Girl, in which she co-stars with Natalie Portman and Eric Bana.

Johansson told the New York Post, "What I’m planning to do is go with a couple of my girlfriends to the Caribbean. I have decided I definitely need the Caribbean. I have a decent break right now."

Peter Gabriel Ready to Launch New Disc

The former Genesis singer is releasing the album 15 years after starting work on the collection of songs.  Gabriel began recording the music in the early 90s.  He told Billboard magazine, "The idea was to put rock musicians together with musicians from all over the world and see what happened."

During the past three years, Gabriel continued to work on Big Blue Ball, saying, "the tapes were left in a mess and it’s taken this long to sort out."

Gabriel is joined on the disc by other artists including Sinead O’Connor, Karl Wallinger of World Party, Natacha Atlas and Papa Wemba.

The exact release date has not been announced, although it has been confirmed that it will be in the fall.

Christian Bale May Be Starring With Russell Crowe

Bale is in final negotiations with the project’s producers for the role opposite the Australian actor.  Director James Mangold (Walk the Line) is bringing his version to the screen from the 1957 original.

Filming for the movie is set to begin this fall.  3:10 to Yuma is the story of a cowboy who is captured by a rancher.  If Bale is selected for the film, he would play the cowboy, while Crowe will star as an outlaw.
