Nicolas Cage’s Generousity

The star of the films Adaptation, National Treasure and Face/Off, among others, gave the money to the charity to help former child soldiers.  The charity helps children who have been involved in wars to be rehabilitated, with medications and pschological help so that they can re-enter their normal lives.

According to Amnesty International, 300,000 children under the age of 7 have carried weapons in war in various conflicts around the world.

Nicolas Cage has been involved with the charity for two years.  Cage said, "Then imagine a warlord dropping a gun into his hand and forcing him to kill someone. He’s eight years old. He hasn’t kissed a girl yet or fallen in love, but he’s killed a man. What does that do to a child’s mind?"

He added, "Sounds like a nightmare? It’s reality for some families."

New Lawsuit Against Michael Jackson

According to Marc Schaffel, the American star did not pay $3.8 million of salary due to financial difficulties.

Jackson’s attorney has filed a counterclaim, saying that Schaffel owes money to the star.  The California court has learned that Jackson and Schaffel were working on two documentaries for television that were never aired.

Jackson admits that he called a stop to the project when he learned that Schaffel did not have any expertise in the documentary’s subject, and that he had been assosiated with homosexual pornograhic videos.

The hearing, which will begin in a few weeks, may reveal Jackson’s financial troubles.  Jackson, who no longer lives in the United States, will not appear in court.  His testimony will come by video deposition.
