Michael Jackson Working on New Disc

The star, who is hoping to re-start his career, has signed a new contract with Two Seas Records, a record company owned by Prince Abdulla Hamad Alkhalifa of Bahrain.

Jackson, who now lives in Bahrain, released a statement saying, "I am incredibly excited about my new venture and enjoying being back in the studio."

The disc, which is expected to be released in 2007, will be Jackson’s first since Invincible in 2001.

Michael Jackson has not been able to concentrate on his music for several years.  Last year, he was acquitted on charges of sexual molestation of a minor.

Eddie Murphy is Officially Divorced

The star and his ex-wife, Nicole, were married for 13 years, are keeping their settlement details private for the sake of their children.  Nicole Murphy filed for divorce last year, citing "irreconcilable differences".

Whitney Houston Returns to Rehab

According to television’s Extra, the star is in a rehabilitation centre in Tucson, Arizona.  The news comes just weeks after the singer’s sister-in-law, Tina Brown, revealed that Houston is addicted to crack cocaine and is living in squalor.  She added that she spends weeks at a time living in seedy crack houses indulging in her habit.

Colin Farrell Reaches Agreement With His Ex

For several weeks, the 29 year-old star and the 31 year-old former Playboy Playmate, were battling over the rights of the tape, which was created in 2003.

Farrell, who starred in Phone Booth, The New World, and Alexander, among others, accused Narain of wanting to make a financial profit by marketing the porn video with Internet Commerce Group (ICG).

The dispute was first filed last summer, which led to a judge putting a temporary stop on the release of the video, until an agreement could be reached.

According to the New York Daily News, on Easter Sunday lawyers for each side met and reached a settlement.

Brooke Shields Gives Birth

According to People magazine, little Grier Hammond Henchy arrived in the morning, weighing 7 pounds (3.18 kg.).  Brooke and her husband, Chris Henchy, are already the parents of a two year-old girl, Rowan.

Shields, 40, who starred in  The Blue Lagoon, Suddenly Susan, and Endless Love, among others, married Henchy in 2001.

In 2005, the actress wrote a best-selling book, Down Came the Rain, which chronicled her battle with post-partum depression after the birth of her first child.

Iggy Pop Teams with The Stooges

Iggy Pop, whose real name is James Newell Osterberg, Jr., and The Stooges are working on an album that will their first release since 1973.  The punk icons have been working in a Florida recording studio, with the help of Jack White, of the White Stripes.

The Stooges are planning a tour to promote their new CD.  Already they have been signed to perform at England’s Nightmare Before Christmas Festival in December.

Melissa Etheridge to Be a Mom Again

Etheridge and her partner, Tammy Lynn Michaels, posted the message, "We are thrilled to announce that Tammy is pregnant, and expecting our twins sometime around this fall."

The couple, who have been together since 2003, revealed that the pregnancy was created with the sperm of an anonymous donor.

The singer is already the mother of two children, Bailey Jean, 9, and Beckett, 7, from a previous relationship.

Russell Crowe To Star in Tenderness

Directed by John Polson (Hide and Seek), the film is about a teenager with a violent past, and a 16 year-old who can not resist his charms.  Crown will play a police officer who tries to unravel their complex pasts.

Tenderness, which is considered a small-budget film, is expected to be in theatres in 2007.

Renee Zellweger to Star in Case 39

The star has inked the deal with Paramount Pictures.  The thriller follows the story of a social worker (Zellweger) who saves a 10 year-old girl who is being abused by her parents.  She then discovers that things are not as she thought.

A director has not yet been named for the project, although filming is set to begin on July 31 in Vancouver, Canada.

Gena Lee Nolin Gives Birth to a Boy

The former Baywatch star named her son Hudson Lee Hulse on Saturday in Scottsdale, Arizona.  The actress, who is married to professional hockey player Cale Hulse, also has an 8 year-old son from a previous marriage.

Nolin and Hulse were married in September, 2004, after meeting on a blind date.
