Christopher Walken in Balls of Fury

In the movie Balls of Fury, Walken will play Fang, a criminal fan of ping-pong.  Fogler will play a pin-pong player hired by the CIA to arrest the gangster.

Balls of Fury will begin shooting in June.  It will be on the big screen in 2007.

Police Officer of the Village People Escapes Prison

The 54 year old star of songs such as In the Navy and YMCA, was supposed to serve 16 months in prison.  The singer decided not to follow through with his side of the bargain. 

He was facing 5 years in prison for possession of drugs, and a weapon.  Howvever, he did not show up for his hearing.  He now faces 4 years in prison.

Willis left the group the Village People in the 1980’s.  He was replaced by Ray Simpson.  Village People is still making music with three of the original group members.

Gloria Estefan To Play Connie Francis

The 48 year-old singer will play the singer who was topping the charts in the 50s and 60s with songs like Where the Boys Are and Who’s Sorry Now.

The film will follow the highs and lows of the singer’s life, who is now age 67, and who was the victim of a sexual assault in a hotel room in 1974.

Estefan told the New York Daily News about her upcoming role.  She said, "There’s a lot of similarities, especially in her voice and mine. We had a very similar upbringing. The Italian and the Cuban, all the Latin cultures have a lot of things in common."

Estefan starred in the film Music of the Heart in 1999, along with Meryl Streep and Angela Bassett.

More than 60 Artists Team for Music Rising

Music Rising is a charity that the musician founded with record producer, Bob Ezrin, and Gibson Guitars man, Henry Juszkiewicz.  The charity will be donating musical instruments to hurricane victims in Louisiana.

The 60 artists have agreed to collaborate with the charity by allowing a portion of their concert ticket sales to go to the cause.  Some of the performers are Queensryche, Nine Inch Nails, Ben Harper, Def Leppard/Journey, New Cars/Blondie, Melissa Etheridge, Brad Paisley and the Warped Tour.

Mark Wahlberg Becomes a Daddy Again

Wahlberg, who starred in the films Boogie Nights, Planet of the Apes, and The Italian Job, and his girlfriend are already the parents of a 2 year-old daughter, Ella Rae.

The actor will next be seen in the film The Departed, with Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Scarlett Johansson Voted Sexiest Woman

The 21 year-old star, who is best known for her roles in Match Point and Lost in Translation, was chosen in the annual survey of the men’s magazine readers.  Johansson said, "One of the best things for a woman to hear is that she is sexy I’d like to thank FHM’s readers for the huge compliment."

Last year’s winner, Angelina Jolie, came in second on the poll this year, ahead of Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson, Keira Knightley, Halle Berry, Jenny McCarthy, Maria Sharapova, Carmen Electra and Teri Hatcher.

Michael Jackson Will Never Return to Neverland

In an interview Friday with television’s Access Hollywood, Jackson’s sister talked about Michael’s life in Bahrain.  She said, "I have to tell you that when all of this was over, he said he would leave and never come back [to] Neverland."

According to LaToya, when her brother’s privacy was invaded, she said, "It’s time to leave, and that’s what he did."

Michael Jackson left the United States after being acquitted of sexual molestation charges last year.  Recently, Jackson was charged with another lawsuit in California.  This time it was his employees at the ranch who are claiming that they have not been paid.

Paris Hilton Opens Night Club

The star, who already owns a club in Orlando called Club Paris, is following her dream of owning a chain of night clubs.  On July 1, a second Club Paris will open in Jacksonville.

To attract investors in the new venture, Hilton agreed to appear at the new club twice each month.

Ellen Barkin To Star in Ocean’s Thirteen

The third film of the series about the adventures of Danny Ocean and his gang will begin filming on July 21.  Steven Soderbergh, who directed the previous two films, said that Barkin will have the lead female role.  In the first two films, the female lead was played by Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Ocean’s Thirteen will also star George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Eddie Jemison, Shaobo Qin, Carl Reiner and Elliott Gould.  Barkin’s character will be connected to Matt Damon’s character.

The film should be ready for audiences in the summer of 2007.

Jessica Simpson Changes Record Label

The star has changed her label after working with Columbia since 1999.  According to Billboard magazine, the singer-turned-actress is currently working on her next CD, which she hopes to release before the end of the year.

The two record labels are both owned by Sony/BMG.  The singer explained that she made the decision to switch because she liked the direction team at Epic.
