Pete Doherty Formally Accused

The 26 year-old singer and former boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, was charged by police from a November 30 incident when he was suspected of driving his car while under the influence of drugs.  Doherty will appear Wednesday in a London court to hear the charges.

Babyshambles performed live on Monday in Camden, near London.

Doherty was at the centre of the problems surrounding Kate Moss, when photographs of her using cocaine were published.  After the incident, Moss lost several of her lucrative modelling contracts, and then entered a drug rehab facility.

Britney Spears is Worst Dressed

As he has done for years, Mr. Blackwell has created a list of the worst dressed stars of the year.  Spears took first place for looking like an "over-the-hill lolita". 

The second-place spot was filled by Mary-Kate Olsen for always wearing clothes without style.

Among the other victims on Mr. Blackwell’s list were Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, Mariah Carey and Anna Nicole Smith.

Steven Spielberg Hoping to Convince IOC

According to the New York Post, the director, who is bringing the story to the silver screen, wants the organisers of the games in Beijing, 2008, to have a minute of silence in honour of those who died.

At the Munich games, eight Palestinian terrorists took Israelian athletes hostage.  By the time all was done, 11 Israelis, 5 terrorists and one German police officer were dead.

A spokesperson for Spielberg explained, "His goal is to get the IOC to properly acknowledge the Munich massacre."

The Olympic games organisers, CIO, have already rejected an effort to create a ceremony to honour the fallen athletes, stating it would be "too political".

Queen Latifah’s European Body Guards

The comedienne, who stars in the film which opens next week, had body guards to protect the jewellery that she wore in the film.  Georgia Byrd, Latifah’s character in the film, purchases a million-dollar Chopard necklace in the movie.

Queen Latifah said, "That necklace cost a lot of money, so I had European bodyguards. They looked like they would kill you, so it was kind of cool."

Nick and Jessica Put House on Market

According to People magazine, the stars who are getting divorced, want to sell their Calabasas residence.  The Mediterranean style home has five bedrooms, and the asking price is $3.75 million.

Nick and Jessica announced their separation last November.  The following month, Simpson filed divorce papers.

The two were married in Austin, Texas in October, 2002, in front of 250 guests.  Soon after, they become television stars with their own reality show.

Hilary Swank is Separated

According to Access Hollywood, the couple has split after 8 years of marriage.  A spokesperson for the actress confirmed, "Hilary and Chad have decided to separate, but they are hopeful they’ll be able to get through this tough time."

No reasons have been given behind the decision.  Swank, 31, and Lowe, 38, were married in September, 1997.  They have no children.

Robert De Niro Meets Dominican President

De Niro will film some scenes for "The Good Shepherd" in the presidential palace, which he toured with President Leonel Fernandez, a spokesman for the national film office said.

Further details about the meeting Friday were not released.

Several of the country’s historic districts will be used for scenes that are supposed to take place in Africa. Production was expected to remain in the Dominican Republic one week.

"The Good Shepherd," directed by De Niro, recounts the history of the CIA. Matt Damon plays James Wilson, one of the spy agency’s founders; Angelina Jolie plays his wife.

Damon has arrived in the country, and Jolie was expected to arrive over the weekend.

Black Eyed Peas to Team with Honda

The group has announced their sixth concert tour to be called the Honda Civic Tour.  The first show will take place on March 23 in California, and a complete list of cities will be revealed soon.

The Black Eyed Peas will be performing live for the first time since the release of their successful Monkey Business in 2005.

Honda is creating a special hybrid edition of the Civic for the tour.  The car will be equipped with a digital radio, exclusive stereo system and sport tires.  The car will be given away to a concert goer at each show.

24 On the Big Screen?

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series producer, Jon Cassar, said that he is thinking about the project.  Furthermore, the actor who plays the principal character, Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) is also enthusiastic about the idea.  He said, "It could be an incredible film series."

The new season of the television series begins on January 15 in the United States.
