Matt Damon a Sure Thing

According to a survey done by Forbes, the star of the movie The Bourne Identity, surpasses other actors and actresses in American cinema.

The value of this actor is determined by the salary he has received for his movies, versus his going rate as an actor.

Damon walks away with $29 milion for each dollar that producers invest.  The magazine states that the first two Bourne movies made over $850 million.

Brad Pitt was in second place making $24 million for each dollar invested by producers.  Vince Vaughn and Johnny Depp are tied in third place.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Does Not Want Any More Children

In an interview published in the September issue of British magazine Tatler, Zeta-Jones revealed that two children were sufficient.

The Galles native expressed, "I’d love to but my life is so hectic. I’m very happy with one of each."

Zeta-Jones and Douglas have been married since November 2000, and have two children, Dylan, 7, and Carys, 4. The celebrity couple share the same birthday, Douglas in 1944, and Zeta-Jones in 1969.

Lily Allen Has Her Visa Revoked

The singer of the hit song Smile was detained for five hours upon her arrival at the Los Angeles airport.

A spokeperson for the star told People magazine, "Understandably she was upset. She has no idea why she was singled out for such treatment and found the whole experience distressing."

The star was visiting the United States, and then was on her way to Argentina where she is performing at the end of the month.

Allen reassured fans, "I want my fans to know that I will do everything I can to be back in America in September. I don’t like letting my fans down and this is a situation that I am sure we can sort."

Charlie Sheen Fights Back

Sheen is now counter-attacking after his ex-wife made comments in regards to Sheen and the custody of their children.  Sheen claims that Richards wants another baby with him.

Sheen, 41, appeared on Entertainment Tonight and stated, "There was a request for a donation."

Richards denied this allegation.  She told  the New York Post, "I don’t want another child right now. I have my hands full."

For the last few days, the divorced couple have been having ongoing disputes regarding the custody of their children.  Sheen is requesting that his visits be more flexible.  Presently, Sheen’s visits are supervised by the court.

Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake Reign the MTV Awards

The two superstars have seven nominations each, and each one also has a nomination for video of the year.

They are followed by the hip-hop star Kanye West and the young artist Rihanna, who each have five nominations.

Other nominees include Amy Winehouse, Fergie, Robin Thicke, T.I., Akon, Nelly Furtado, Carrie Underwood, Lily Allen, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park and Chris Daughtry. 

The MTV Video Music Awards will be on September 9 at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.

Denise Richards Disgusted By Her Ex-Husband

Sheen would like to have more flexible visitation with their children.  Presently, Sheen’s visits are supervised visits. 

Richards told the New York Post, "This is disgusting. He is doing this now because he’s not happy with me and the custody arrangement. My mom is going through chemotherapy and I asked Charlie if my mom could see the kids before she got really sick. That’s a valid request. He doesn’t stick to the schedule he has with the kids – that’s not my fault."

Richards and Sheen divorced in November 2006 after three rocky years of marriage.  The couple have two childrem, Sam, 3, and Lola, 2.  The actor recently remarried.

Jack Nicholson Denies Claims Made in Unauthorized Biography

In the biography Five Easy Decades, author Dennis McDouglas, asserts that Jack Nicholson has an illegitimate child who is handicapped. 

According to the book, the Oscar winner is the father of six children, and two of these were illegitimate.

According to the author, "There are two other possibles whom those closest to Jack whisper about, including one young man who lives with handicaps brought on by his actress mother’s drug abuse…"

Nicholson’s lawyer commented on the biography in the New York Post, "The allegations of the handicapped son are false and inaccurate. There is no handicapped son of Mr. Nicholson."

Eddie Murphy Admits He is the Father

Last week, Brown, a Spice Girls singer, announced that she would be taking legal action if Murphy did not assume his parental responsibilities.

Two days later, Murphy told his spokesperson that he was assuming his responsibilities.  In a press release he stated, "Eddie Murphy always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father," said Robinson. "Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort. He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy. "

Brown (known as Scary Spice), had to have a DNA test requested by the court to recognize the paternity for the four-month old baby girl, Angel Iris.

Brown and Murphy, 46, dated for four months in 2006.  The singer always declared without any doubt that Murphy was the father of her baby.

Lindsay Lohan Readmitted to Rehab

CBC News Radio reported that the star of the movies Mean Girls, The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday, has decided to deal with her alcohol and drug addictions, at a treament centre in Utah.

It is the third time Lohan was admitted to detox in just a few months.  The actress is at Cirque Lodge Treatment Centre in California.

The Beckhams Bring Chaos to Neighbourhood

German model Heidi Klum has had to deal with changes on her street since the British family became her neighbours.  Klum and her husband, singer Seal, live in Beverly Hills, near David and Victoria Beckham’s new home.

Since the English soccer star and his Spice Girl wife have arrived, there has been a constant media frenzy.  Klum told ContactMusic, "There is a paparazzi festival down the street from us now. You couldn’t even drive by because they were hanging out, waiting for them to leave their house. "It’s rough – but it’s rougher for them than it is for us."

The Beckham family left Europe after David signed a five-year contract to play with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
