Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry set the rumor mill ablaze in June and July 2025, when they were spotted together on several occasions in Montreal. This fueled suspicions of a romance between the former prime minister and the international pop star.

However, after rocking the web, media reports suggested that the flame between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau had been extinguished as quickly as it had been ignited. Their hectic schedules and the ex-Prime Minister’s discomfort with the media circus may have been the reason for the budding romance.
But then…
According to sources quoted by Us Weekly, the two stars did not end their relationship after all, and continue to show a strong interest in each other.
“They’ve decided to be much more discreet about it,” one source is quoted as saying, while another claims they’re still talking to each other with interest.
What’s more, Justin is said to be planning to reunite with the pop star after his tour of Brazil, when she will have more time to devote to the former prime minister.
Katy is said to be taking things one day at a time, but is still very open to the idea of dating.
Weddings behind them
For her part, Katy and The Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom amicably ended their union, from which their daughter Daisy was born.
In August 2023, Justin announced his separation from his ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, after several years of marriage. Their union produced three children: Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.
What next?
After a dinner that got everyone talking, a friendly stroll and an eye-catching appearance at Katy’s concert, there’s every reason to believe that we’ll soon see the two stars side by side again… unless, of course, they decide to ghost and go incognito!
Justin should seriously retrain as a tourist agent: all he had to do was take his sweetheart to a restaurant in Montreal, and the next day it’s sold out for six months!
