For the fourth consecutive year, Le Balcon is making a grand return with its spectacular summer terrace in the heart of downtown Montreal. Located on the beautiful plaza in front of St. James Church, this urban oasis promises once again to become a must-visit spot for the warm season. Set against the backdrop of an impressive heritage building dating back to 1860 on Sainte-Catherine Street, the venue offers a unique setting where music, fine dining, and a festive atmosphere come together.
From Tuesday to Saturday, visitors can enjoy a lineup featuring 100% live music, showcasing talented artists and lively performances. Whether for a happy hour with colleagues, an outing with friends, or a romantic evening under the stars, Le Balcon’s terrace offers a warm and vibrant experience that fully celebrates the arrival of sunny days in Montreal.
This year, the culinary experience has also been completely revamped to offer an even more refined dining experience. Guests can discover a delicious menu featuring gourmet tapas, generous platters to share, and creative cocktails specially designed to complement summer evenings—all in a warm and lively atmosphere.
A major new feature for this season: Le Balcon’s terrace is now available for private events and group reservations. Whether for a corporate event, a birthday, or a special celebration, this distinctive downtown space offers the perfect setting to create memorable moments.
Already recognized as a must-see performance venue in Montreal, Le Balcon once again succeeds in bringing its festive and intimate atmosphere outdoors. Starting May 21, this terrace promises to become one of the summer’s most sought-after destinations.
The Program
Rain or shine, the terrace offers a lively lineup from May through September. Thanks to special amenities, including large umbrellas and a covered stage, visitors can enjoy their evenings in complete comfort regardless of the weather. Each day of the week features a different musical style, creating unique experiences and a fresh atmosphere night after night.
- Tuesdays:Latin Groove
In collaboration with the Latin Groove dance school, the terrace transforms into an open-air dance floor. Classes and social dancing from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., featuring a rotation of Montreal’s best Latin DJs.
- Wednesdays: Jazz Cabaret Chic
Starting at 6:30 PM, Montreal’s most talented jazz musicians create an elegant and intimate atmosphere.
- Thursdays: Soul, R&B & Groove
A lively evening where the best local artists get the terrace moving.
- Fridays: Motown & Disco
Classic soul, Motown, and disco hits to end the week on a high note, under the stars.
- Saturdays: Fiesta Cubana
A fiery atmosphere with The Cuban Martinez Band and irresistible Cuban energy.
