The Plural contemporary art fair returns from April 10 to 12 at the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal for a special edition. Organized by the Association des galeries d’art contemporain (AGAC), Plural celebrates the diversity of Canadian voices and works by bringing together 45 exhibitors from nine cities, offering visitors the opportunity to discover and acquire the creations of more than 500 artists.

On the first floor, 38 commercial galleries will showcase the best of Canadian contemporary art. Some are well-known, such as Art Mûr, Duran Contemporain, and Galerie Simon Blais, while others are newcomers, such as Hunt Gallery from Toronto and SSEW Project from Markham. At the Pavilion, seven project spaces will highlight emerging or alternative galleries, including JANO, Art Volt Collection, and The New Other. This diversity reflects the spirit of Plural: supporting established artists while promoting the emergence of new voices in the Canadian art scene. In this vein, the fair does not only present works from galleries. For the fourth consecutive year, a curated exhibition will showcase the work of a dozen Canadian artists, orchestrated by Sophie Latouche.

The fair will be open from Friday to Sunday, allowing visitors to enjoy the Plural experience all weekend long. Between artistic discoveries, meetings with gallery owners, and immersion in the dynamism of Montreal’s Grand Quai, Plural stands out for its ability to create a community around contemporary art!
