Scandal for Chappell Roan: A girl in tears and an angry dad
Singer Chappell Roan is one of the rising stars of recent years. However, the artist behind the hit “Good Luck, Babe!” is currently in hot water following an accusation made against her on social media.
On his Instagram page, Brazilian soccer player Jorginho shared a post explaining the unfortunate situation.
Without your fans, you’d be nothing. And to you, the fans: she doesn’t deserve your affection.
While he is currently continuing his career with Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro, the star athlete saw his partner, Catherine Harding, and their daughter enjoying a trip to the Lollapalooza Brazil 2026 festival, held from March 20 to 22. Among the artists headlining this major music event was Chappell Roan.

The Incident Behind the Controversy
According to Jorginho, his wife and daughter spotted Roan while having a meal at their hotel.
Since Chappell Roan looks very different in everyday life compared to her stage appearance, Jorginho explains that his daughter simply walked past her table to check if it was really her.
According to him, the girl simply looked at her and smiled, without asking for a photo or an autograph. However, shortly after she returned to sit with her mother, a security guard allegedly made aggressive remarks, accusing his family of harassing the singer, and even threatening to file a complaint against them with the hotel.

The singer’s version
In response to this explosive public outburst, the singer wanted to explain her side of the story. In an Instagram story, we see Chappell Roan, clearly moved by the situation, apologizing to the little girl.
According to her account, the artist did not notice the presence of a mother and her daughter near her. She also clarifies that she did not hire a private bodyguard, meaning the intervention likely came from hotel security, without her being informed.
She continues her video by apologizing to the mother and the 11-year-old girl, stating that she harbors no animosity toward children, contrary to certain comments that have circulated about her in recent hours.

Chappell Roan denies any involvement
“I’m just going to tell you my side of the story about what happened today involving a mother and a child who were dealing with a security guard—who was not my personal security. I didn’t even see a woman and a child. No one spoke to me. No one bothered me. I was just sitting having lunch at my hotel. I think those people were also at the hotel. The fact that a security guard… I didn’t ask the security guard to go talk to that mother and child. They didn’t come talk to me. They weren’t doing anything. It’s unfair for security to assume someone has bad intentions when they have no reason to believe it because no action was even taken. I don’t hate people who are fans of my music. I don’t hate kids. It’s crazy. I feel bad for the mom and the kid. Someone assumed you were going to do something, and if that makes you feel uncomfortable, it really makes me sad. You didn’t deserve that,” explains Chappell Roan.

A heartbreaking situation
Both sides of the story have now been laid out, all under the watchful eye of the public, who have been able to hear the different perspectives surrounding this situation.
This incident highlights the complexity of interactions between public figures, fans, and security personnel, who are often called upon to intervene quickly.
We can only hope that this type of incident does not happen again over such minor matters.
We hope this dispute will be resolved between the two parties and that the young girl will not be too affected by the situation.
It must be said that Chappell Roan has often been singled out for her particularly direct behavior toward paparazzi, fans, and photographers.
