The FBI still has no suspects after the assassination of conservative political influencer Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead in Utah last Wednesday (September 10), while speaking at Utah Valley University.
The assassin reportedly stood about 600 feet from the victim, on a rooftop, armed with a long-range weapon, before firing a single shot, hitting Charlie Kirk in the neck, The New York Times report.

No suspects yet at this stage, FBI confirms
Two suspects were quickly detained and questioned, with the first arrested at the scene, but neither proved to be the perpetrator of the crime, confirms the FBI.
In fact, the authorities have no suspects at the time of writing, while the FBI was holding a press conference on the morning of September 11.

Few images also appear to be available of the assassin’s location, while the FBI is asking civilians present at the event to submit their own photos and videos.

The Governor of Utah seemed particularly shaken by the assassination, which he did not hesitate to describe as political.
