Winged Creatures is the story of witnesses to a murder-suicide in a fast-food restaurant, and how they cope with the aftermath of the tragic incident.
To be directed by Rowan Woods (Little Fish), Winged Creatures will also star Jackie Earle Haley, Kate Beckinsale, Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning.
Filming is set to begin shortly in Los Angeles.

Fergie explained, "I have had lesbian experiences in the past. When I was going through my out-of-control phase, I could have got into very dangerous situations."
In addition to her sexual experimenting, the singer revealed that she also had used drugs. Fergie added, "I had a gun put to my head during a drug deal that went wrong. Luckily I got out of it."
Emily Diane Leatherman was arrested Thursday afternoon by police for arriving at the star’s home uninvited.
The 32 year-old woman was also arrested in 2006 on similar charges. At that time, a judge ordered Leatherman to stay more than 500 feet from actor John Cusack. The restraining order was ordered after Leatherman had been stalking the actor for more than a year.
The police were alerted by a staff member from inside the home of Tom Cruise.
