Madonna To Be Monitored by German Officials

The German government has announced that they will be monitoring the American singer during her performance in Dusseldorf.

Like her performance in Rome, the singer’s stage show has become the centre of a religious and political controversy.  Religious leaders are furious at the fact that Madonna performs on a crucifix during her show, which has been viewed as an insult to religious followers.

A representative for the singer insists that the performance is within the legal rights of an artisitic expression, and that the performance is not offensive.
