Jim Carrey’s New Love

According to People magazine, the rumours that the two are now a couple, are true.  A source told the magazine, "They are very happy."

Carrey and McCarthy were spotted recently at a Los Angeles restuarant.  When a reporter asked the funny actress if the two were on a date, she replied, "No comment."

Carrey, however, told People, "I like her, she’s a nice person."

Spokespeople for the two stars are neither confirming or denying the news.  Jenny McCarthy has been divorced since last year.  Carrey has been married twice, once to actress Lauren Holly, and also to Melissa Womer, who is the mother of his daughter.

Jessica Alba to Replace Lindsay Lohan

The Fantastic Four star has agreed to take the role that was abruptly left by Lohan, who was not satisfied with the film’s directors.

Bill also stars Aaron Eckhart and Amanda Peet, and production will begin on Thursday.

Beyonce Seeks Female Musicians

The R&B star is looking for drummers, keyboard players, guitarists, horn players, and percussionists to accompany her on her next tour.

The singer is preparing to take to the road with her second solo album B’Day, which is being released in September.

Knowles, a former member of the group Destiny’s Child, will hold auditions in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Burbank and New Jersey.  The 24 year-old 5-time Grammy Award winner begins her tour on June 20.

Lindsay Lohan Considers Fashion Career

In the next edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the star reveals that she hopes to create her own clothing line, and possibly open a boutique in Paris.  The 19 year-old star revealed, "I’d only do it if Karl Lagerfeld was interested [in having his clothes there]," Lohan tells the mag. "Or Tom Ford. Or Alexander McQueen. Or Jean Paul Gaultier. Or Proenza Schouler."

"Yves Saint Laurent’s collection is genius for fall. Balenciaga is amazing. And I love Rick Owens and Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Giambattista Valli and Roland Mouret. I could go on and on," she enthused to Bazaar — Lohan’s dream gig would be to rep Lagerfeld’s Chanel. She’s even begged to work as a shopgirl, going behind the Chanel counter to check everything out.

Adam Sandler to Star in Drama

The star has already started working on the film which tells the story of a man who loses his family on September 11, 2001.

In an interview with ComingSoon, Sandler talked about his experience, "I don’t know how to describe the movie, how to sum it up… I can’t wait for Mike Binder, the man who wrote it, and hear him discuss it, because I don’t know how to phrase this. But it’s just about a man who’s been through a terrible thing — he lost his family in 9/11 — and he has a hard time just living life and just being in the moment."

The movie is not based on a true character, but several 9/11 survivors and families were interviewed during the writing of the script.  Jada Pinkett Smith and Liv Tyler also star in the project.  No release date has been announced.

China Pulls The Da Vinci Code From Theatres

Although the film from director Ron Howard was released a few weeks ago, Chinese authorities have now decided that the film will not be shown in their country.

The official reason given by the government was that they are making room for more local films to be shown during the summer peak season.  The film has already been banned in Fiji, Pakistan and some Indian states. 

This is not the first time that the country’s government has ceased the showing of a feature film.  Memoirs of a Geisha and Brokeback Mountain were also banned.

Introducing Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

The American magazine has posted on their website the first photograph of the baby who was born on May 27 in Namibia.  The magazine will be on sale this Friday.

The young family held a press conference on Wednesday, which was their first public outing since the birth.  Jolie commented, "There is nothing in the air. The focus is the kids, and we are obviously extremely committed to the children and as parents together."

Pitt also revealed that the Namibian government has issued a passport to the new baby.  "We are grateful to receive it," he said, adding that he was sure, "Shiloh will also be grateful one day."

Rob Thomas is a Busy Guy

The star, who will be touring this summer with Jewel, has started his own record label and has been working with his group.  Matchbox Twenty will be releasing their next CD, four years after their More Than You Think You Are.

After their last release, the band lost guitarist Adam Gaynor.  Thomas revealed to Billboard that the group would be rebuilding.  "I think it’s just going to be about getting in the studio and drinking a bunch of beers and jamming for awhile and being a band again," he says. "I don’t want to write anything for [the band] until I get together with the guys and see where our heads are at."

Thomas will also be recording a song for the soundtrack of an upcoming Disney film.

Alanis Morissette and Ryan Reynolds Call it Quits

According to People magazine, Morissette, 32, and her boyfriend of nearly 4 years, Reynolds, 29, have split.  The couple began dating after meeting at Drew Barrymore’s birthday party in 2002.  They were engaged in 2004.

Morissette is best known for her phenomenal album Jagged Little Pill.  The disc was released in 1995 and has earned more than $30 million world-wide.

Reynolds has starred in the films Waiting…, Just Friends, and Van Wilder, among others.

First Image of Angelina and Brad’s Baby

The English publication won the lottery, and were able to obtain the photographs, although they paid a small fortune for the privilege.  In the United States, it was People magazine who paid $4.1 million for the pics.

Already, pictures of the baby have been found on the internet, although they have been posted without authorisation.

The proceeds from the sales, totalling $7 million US, are being given to charity.

Angelina Jolie, 30, gave birth to the baby girl on May 27.  Brad Pitt and Jolie are also the parents of two adopted children.

The photo "has been obtained totally illegally," said the magazine’s features editor, Juliette Herd.
