Pitt and Jolie in Africa

The authorities in the African state are doing their best to keep the paparazzis at bay.  According to the Sunday Times, a South African photographer and three French reporters were deported from the country after taking pictures of the celebrity couple.

The paper reported that the decision was supported by the Prime Minister of the country, Nahas Angula, who said, "This lady is expecting. You guys are harassing her. Why don’t you allow her some privacy? Harassment is not allowed in Namibia. If a person says they don’t want to be photographed then, of course, that person deserves protection."

Earlier this week, the Hollywood couple asked that their privacy be respected in the final stage of Jolie’s pregnancy.

Beyonce Knowles Is On Fire

During an interview with MTV, the disc’s producer, Sean Garrett, revealed that the former Destiny’s Child singer has been spending 12 hours each day in the studio.  Garrett said, "the songs are sick." "She’s in a place I’ve never seen her in before."

The producer feels that Knowles is going to have another hit with her upcoming release, saying, "She’s very vibrant, very happy, and her mindset is incredible. She’s in a zone."

Garrett himself is a very popular man at the moment.  In addition to guiding Beyonce’s new CD, he just worked with Britney Spears on three new songs, and also worked with Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas on a solo disc.

Has Denise Richards Found a New Man?

According to Entertainment Tonight, the actress who starred in the films Starship Troopers, The World is Not Enough and Wild Things, among others, was spotted kissing Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora, in Los Angeles.

The two stars are both in the first stages of their respective divorces; Richards from actor Charlie Sheen, and Sambora from actress Heather Locklear.

Gillian Anderson Files for Divorce

Anderson, who starred in television’s X Files as Agent Dana Scully, was married to filmmaker Julian Ozanne.  A press release from the actress stated, "Gillian Anderson and her husband Julian Ozanne are saddened to announce that their marriage is at an end and they are in the process of separating."

"At this difficult time they request that their privacy is respected. There will be no further comment."

The couple lived in London with Anderson’s daughter from a previous marriage.

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards Start Smear Campaign

A restraining order was placed on Sheen, requiring him to stay away from Richards and their two daughters.  Papers filed in court by Richards reveal that Sheen is addicted to pain killers, was abusive to her, and frequently visits pornographic websites.  Richards went on to add that when she suggested that he needed to get help, he threatened to kill her. 

Recently, Sheen was interviewed on Entertainment Tonight, where he tried to defend himself in the press.  He said, "I’m deeply saddened because this is clearly demonstrating a wanting and willful attempt at what I describe as a radical and transparent smear campaign and, clearly, a departure from sound, sane, responsible co-parenting. It is a reaction to a failed marriage, a reaction to some twisted desire, real or imagined, to hurt, to punish, to discredit, to completely torpedo, to undermine my perception as a responsible father… a guy who would give his life for his children."

An Eleventh Star Trek In the Works

Abrams, who just finished working on Mission: Impossible III with Tom Cruise, plans to have the Star Trek film ready for 2008.

The story will be written by Abrams in collaboration with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, who also worked with Abrams on the scenario for Mission: Impossible III.

The Star Trek film series has earned more than a billion dollars at box offices.  In addition to the films, the television series produced 726 episodes.

Angelina Jolie To Star in Tomb Raider 3

Ian Livingston, the creator of the character and video game, told England’s Daily Express, "Paramount has optioned it and Angelina has agreed to star in the third."

According to a source, the actress who is carrying Brad Pitt’s baby, will be in perfect shape to film the movie.  The source said, "Angelina is already in training to make sure she gets rid of her post-pregnancy bulge."

The two first installments of the Tomb Raider films have earned more than $250 million at box offices world wide.

The singer’s lucrative deal will have her writing and recording 20 exclusive ringtones, as well as appearing in TV commercials to promote the soft drink.

Carey joins Michael Jackson, Beyonce Knowles, Britney Spears, Kanye West and Gwen Stefani, who have all been spokespeople for the multinational company.

Nicole Kidman Congratulates Katie Holmes

The actress, who was married to Tom Cruise for 11 years, congratulated his new fiance after she delivered Cruise’s first biological child, a girl named Suri.

She said, "I hope both mother and baby are doing well."  Kidman made no mention about her ex-husband.

Kidman and Cruise were married from 1990 until 2001.  They have two adopted children.

Celine Dion Cancels Concerts

The star, who performs regularly at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, is suffering from a virus.  Dion was forced to cancel her concerts for this weekend.

The singer, who still has several months left in her contract, will celebrate her 500th performance in Las Vegas next month.
