The band members chose Fortune after 13 weeks of competition on their televised series called Rock Star: INXS on CBS.
The first song from Fortune with INXS, "Easy, Easy" is being released today. The first CD from the group with the new singer, entitled Switch, is scheduled to be released on November 29. It will be the first CD since the suicide of their lead singer, Michael Hutchence, in 1997.
"We’re a band now," said Fortune after hearing that he was chosen.
Possibly, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez hasn’t learned her lesson about starring in movies with her off-screen loves. In 2003 Lopez made a film with then-boyfriend Ben Affleck, entitled Gigli, which was a box-office flop. In fact, they were given a Raspberry Award, which are the awards for the worst of Hollywood.
This time, Lopez wants to work with her husband in the film Who Killed Hector Lavoe.
"It’s the story of a singer and I’ll be his wife," Jennifer said of the original plot.

According to Access Hollywood, Romijn (X2, X-Men, Femme Fatale) and O’Connell (Jerry Maguire, Stand by Me, Kangaroo Jack) have been dating for one year and are now engaged to be married.
"We couldn’t be happier and are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives," the couple said in a statement.
Earlier this year Romijn completed filming Man About Town with O’Connell, and they are also both starring in The Alibi.
It will be the first marriage for O’Connell, 31, and the second for the 32 year-old actress. She was married to actor John Stamos for 5 years.
The American star received four nominations, followed by Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent and Green Day, who all were given three nominations.
Many other groups will be considered for awards in various categories, including Black Eyed Peas, Destiny’s Child, Eminem, Fantasia, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Gretchen Wilson.
The 33rd American Music Awards will be held on November 22 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The nominations are based on CD sales, and the winners for each category are chosen from a group of 20,000 voters.
According to In Touch magazine, the well-known actor has recently fallen in love with Italy itself, where he owns a home. It seems that he’s also found love in the European country.

The two American singers appear to have put their differences behind them.
She tells MTV News: "My assistant came in the room when it happened and she’s like, ‘Britney had a boy!’ and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!’
"I don’t know where I was for a while when she was pregnant but it really kicked in at that point. It’s like: ‘Wow, she had a baby! That’s crazy!’
"I’m overjoyed and thrilled for her. It’s such an exciting time in her life and I just wish her the best."
Aguilera also revealed that she has already bought a gift for the baby boy.
