Lindsay Lohan Turns 21

Allong with her mother and a few friends, the Just My Luck star celebrated yesterday.  The actress left the Promises detoxification clinic just hours before the celebration.

Lohan and her friends enjoyed a birthday party at the home of Courteney Cox in Malibu, California.  Lohan had originally planned a much bigger birthday bash in Las Vegas, but canceled the party after crashing her car and being arrested for drunk driving.  The star was also under the influence of cocaine at the time of the accident.

Eve Pleads Guilty

The 28 year-old singer crashed her car in Los Angeles in April.

Eve, whose real name is Eve Jeffers, must wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet on her ankle and pay a fine of $1400.  She must also enroll in an alcohol education program and will have 36 months of probation.

Nicole Kidman Case Dropped

Jamie Fawcett, 41, is a photographer who was accused in January of 2005 of placing spying material inside the Australian residence of the actress.  The man was taken into custody by Sydney police for trying to intercept conversations between the actress and her staff.

The charges were dropped when the New South Wales Supreme Court decided that there was not sufficient evidence to continue with the case.  Fawcett said as he left the court house, "I don’t have any opinion whatsoever about Miss Kidman, other than to wish her all the best."

Kidman was not present at the court house.

Paris Hilton Takes a Vacation

Following her appearance on Larry King Live, Hilton flew to the Hawaiian island of Maui.  Wearing a disguise of sunglasses and black hair, the Simple Life star arrived in Hawaii on Thursday.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the 26 year-old star has also rented a home in Malibu, California for the summer.  The $2.9 million residence features two bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Hilton’s Hawaii trip may be a short one, as she told Larry King that she would be working on two films during the summer.

Kevin Federline Not Signing Divorce Agreement

Under an agreement reached in March, the two celebrities would continue their joint custody of their two children.  However, a source tells People magazine that Federline is not sure he wants to sign off on that earlier agreement.  "Britney’s attorneys are anxious to see Kevin sign off on a divorce," the source says. "But Kevin and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan are dragging their heels out of concern over reports of Britney’s post-rehab partying."

Federline’s camp, the source adds, "wants to make sure that the divorce document makes it simple enough for Kevin to downsize Britney’s access to her kids the next time her behavior troubles him."

Spears, 25, and Federline separated at the end of last year.  Since then, the Toxic singer has entered a rehabilitation clinic.

Jessica Simpson To Launch Perfume

The singer and actress has teamed with Camuto Group and Parlux to create her own fragrance.  According to a joint statement, the scent will reflect the style and personality of the star.

Simpson said, “I wanted to partner with a company that would be able to express my personality through a fragrance. After meeting with Parlux, I’m extremely excited to start the development process with them.”

Simpson has already entered the cosmetics world, created a clothing line, and a swimwear collection.

Usher To Be A Father

The star confirmed the news, saying, "We are extremely excited at this point in our lives planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child together."

The birth is expected to take place this fall.  It will be the first child for the R&B singer, and the fourth for the recently divorced Foster.

This year will be quite busy for Usher.  In addition to the birth of his child and marriage to Foster, he will also be releasing his next disc in November.

Paris Hilton Claims That She Has Changed

The star, who spent 23 days behind bars, said of her prison stay, "I was obviously very upset. I was just talking to myself saying, ‘Paris be strong. You can do this."

Hilton, who said that the prison food was horrible, said that she lost a few pounds while serving her sentence.  She also talked about her illness while in jail, saying, "I’ve suffered from claustrophobia my entire life and when I first got into that cell I was having severe panic attacks and anxiety attacks. I wasn’t sleeping. I wasn’t eating."

When Hilton was asked if the experience had changed her, she said, "Yeah, definitely. I have a new outlook on life," she claimed. I just went with the motto, ‘Don’t serve the time, let the time serve you.’"

Hilton added that her prison sentence came as a suprise when she first appeared in court.  She said, "I was walking in there assuming I was just going to get community service. That’s what my lawyer said at the time."

Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson Are Winners

The two young women, who both starred in the film Dreamgirls, were both stars at the recent Black Entertainment Television Awards.

Knowles was named best R&B singer and given the award for best video for the song Irreplaceable.

Hudson was named discovery of the year and best actress. 

Among the other winners were Forest Whitaker, who was named best actor, and Diana Ross, who was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Watch the Trailer for Elizabeth: The Golden Age

The film, which is a sequel to 1998’s Elizabeth, stars Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush, Clive Owen, Samantha Morton and Abbie Cornish.

The film follows the life of Queen Elizabeth while she deals with the changes in the world regarding religion and politics at the end of the 16th century in Europe.
