Jessica Simpson Diversifies Her Activities

The DUkes of Hazzard star will be releasing her first collection of swim wear next month at Miami’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

According to In Touch magazine, the collection from Simpson includes provacative bikinis and more conservative one-piece swim suits.

Tom Sizemore Gets Prison Sentence

The 45 year-old actor, who starred in the film Black Hawk Down, among others, has had his sentence reduced from 16 months to 8 months.  The court also took into consideration the 213 days that the actor has already served, as well as his detoxification program.  It is expected that Sizemore will spend five months behind bars.

Sizemore will serve his sentence at the Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California.

The actor was found guilty of parole violation.  He was placed on parole in 2004 for using methamphetamines.  Last month, Sizemore was arrested and was in possession of methamphetamines and a pipe.

Hugh Hefner Film Planned

The news was confirmed by Variety, and X Men director Brett Ratner will direct the biographical film.  "I want to show it all, from his first orgy to the stroke that almost killed him in the 1980s," said Ratner.

Hugh Hefner, 81, started the most well-known gentlemen’s club in 1953.  In addition to his men’s magazine and Playmates, Hefner diversified his activities into film, television and fashion.

Nicole Kidman Joins Nintendo

The Moulin Rouge star has become the spokesperson for the Nintendo DS.  The actress is promoting the game More Brain Training from Dr. Kawashima.

The Japanese company chose the 40 year-old star because her fan base is traditionally children or young men. 

Kidman explains that her decision to represent Nintendo was a great way to keep feeling young.

The New York band has returned with their first CD since 2004, and for the first time, recorded entirely an instrumental album.

Another important release this week comes from Kelly Clarkson, who is launching My December.  The first American Idol winner says that her third disc is more personal, and that she contributed to the writing of all of the songs on the disc.

    Tiger Woods Introduces His Daughter

    The golf champion and his wife, Elin Nordegren, have shared the first pictures of their daughter with the world.  Sam Alexis Woods was born on June 18.  The photographs were added to the official website of the champion.

    Woods wrote, "Both Elin and Sam are doing well and resting peacefully. We want to thank our doctors and the hospital staff for all their dedicated and hard work. This is truly a special time in our lives and we look forward to introducing Sam to our family and friends over the next few weeks. We thank everyone for their well wishes and continued respect of our privacy."

    Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, a former model, were married in 2004.

    Paris Hilton is Free

    The 26 year-old left the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California just after midnight last evening.  Following her 23 day stay, the star was greeted by her parents, Kathy and Rick Hilton, to go home.

    Hilton was sentenced to jail after being found guilty of parole violation by driving her car while on a suspended driver’s license.  The star plans to talk about her prison experience to Larry King on his television show on CNN.

    Paris Hilton Writes To Her Friends

    The Simple Life star has already responded to several letters from her fans.

    E!Online obtained a letter written by Hilton, which says, "I just read your letter and just wanted to thank you for your kind words of love and support. The fact that you took time out of your day to write me truly means the world. Especially at such a difficult and scary time in my life."

    "I am being strong and trying to make the best out of the situation. And the letters I’m receiving really do put a smile on my face as I sit here in my cell, sad and alone," Paris wrote. "Again, thank you so much and may God bless you and your family."

    Paris Hilton was sentenced to spend 23 days behind bars in Los Angeles for driving her car while on a suspended driver’s license.

    In other Hilton news, it is now being reported that Paris will earn one million dollars for her first post-prison interview.

    Joss Stone Denies Rumours

    The two celebrities, who are also both single, have become closer and closer, according to the British media.

    A spokesperson for the 20 year-old singer denies the rumours.  Dave Woolf admits that Stone has been talking to the prince, but only regarding the upcoming concert for the late Princess Diana.  Woolf said, "They talked about what songs she is going to sing at the concert and that gets translated into a story about how William has been bombarding her with calls. She is really pleased to be involved in the event. She wanted to get direct input about what they wanted her to do."

    Prince William, 25, who is second in line for the British throne, split from his long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton in April.

    Is There a Harry Potter Story Leak?

    An information pirate claims that he has hacked into the computer system of the author, JK Rowling.

    The hacker, who calls himself Gabriel, says that he has extracted a digital copy of the final book, and knows how the saga comes to an end.  Gabriel plans to release the information, and the names of the characters who die in the final book.

    The Deathly Hallows, which is the seventh and final book of the Harry Potter series, will be released on July 21.
