The four band mates from Mississauga earned the title of best video and best rock video for the song Fallen Leaves, and was chosen as the Canadian group of the year.
Singer Avril Lavigne was named the Canadian singer of the year. The Napanee star was also given the prize for the best video of the year for the song Girlfriend.
In addition to Canadian artists, several international stars were recognized, including Fergie, Hilary Duff, My Chemical Romance, and others.

Rod Stewart Marries
The private ceremony took place in a 17th century villa on the Italian Riviera in the presence of family and friends.
A statement was released stating, “Penny Lancaster and Rod Stewart married at sunset on Saturday, June 16 in a cloistered medieval abbey at La Cervara near Portofino, Italy. The couple exchanged vows in the presence of 100 family and friends."
Rod and Penny are already the parents of a child together. For the 62 year-old singer, this is his third marriage.

Angelina Jolie Talks About Weight Loss
Last January, Marcheline Bertrand, Jolie’s mother, died of ovarian cancer.
At the New York premiere of her film A Mighty Heart, Jolie talked about how her mother’s death has affected her own health. She explained, "I’ve always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I’ve gone through a lot."
The 32 year-old actress added, "I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding – it’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track."

Spacey, who earned two Oscars for his performances in the films The Usual Suspects and American Beauty, has decided to leave film behind to concentrate on his role as director at London’s Old Vic Theatre.
The actor admits that he is tired of the Hollywood system, saying, "I don’t care about my personal acting career anymore. I’m done with it. After 10 years of making movies and going better than I ever could have imagined, I sort of had to ask myself: ‘What am I supposed to do with all of this success that I have had?"
Spacey added, "What I really care about is the remarkable experience of being able to be a part of bringing people together."

The Return of the Spice Girls
During an interview with London’s BBC Radio, the singer said, "For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumours… it could happen."
The singer, who is also known as Sporty Spice, added that the reunion would be for "a very short space of time… a final goodbye".
According to the BBC, the other members of the girl group, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Geri Halliwell, have all agreed to the reunion. The Spice Girls were one of the most popular girl groups in the history of music.

Kelly Clarkson Cancels Tour
The first American Idol winner says that she is disappointed with the news. "In the craziness of the music business, performing is what I look forward to doing the most, so it really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won’t be coming out to tour this summer,” she wrote in a posting on her website KellyClarkson.com. “The fact is that touring is just too much too soon.”
The manager of LiveNation, who was to produce the tour, said, “Ticket sales have not been what we anticipated."
For Clarkson, it has been a difficult week, as she also fired her manager, Jeff Kwatinetz.
The SexyBack singer asked the pretty actress to leave the tour so that he wouldn’t lose his concentration.
Timberlake told ContactMusic, "She truly insisted that she came with me on tour. I don’t know how to say no to a pretty face. But it wasn’t really a good idea."
The star added, "Jessica met up with me in Manchester, England, but for Paris I told her categorically no. This tour is very important to me. I’m doing it really seriously so there’s no question of playing sweethearts."

Paris Hilton Transferred Back to Prison
Since beginning her time behind bars, Hilton had been transferred to a medical jail due to an unspecified illness. Late Wednesday night, Hilton was returned to the Lynwood Detention Facitily for women.
Authorities have revealed that Hilton’s medical problem is now in control, which is why she could be moved back to Lynwood. If she continues to serve her time without problems, the starlet is expected to finish serving her sentence on June 25.
The Lynwood facility houses 2,200 women inmates, although Hilton is housed in a private cell, seperate from the other inmates.
