Get two years of Care+ free when you buy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 today only

For today only, Canadians who buy a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 from Samsung can get two years of Samsung’s Care+ Plan for free.

The offer is only valid on November 26th, 2021, but it’s a great Black Friday deal for those looking to pick up a Z Fold 3. Samsung says the Care+ plan has a $450 value, but it’s arguable a must-have if you’re getting one of the company’s foldables.

Care+ covers hardware repairs, with no limit on mechanical malfunctions or defects and up to two service requests for physical or liquid damage within two years. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 counts as a ‘Tier 5’ device, which means repairs have a $190 service fee under Care+. While that may seem like a lot, Samsung’s website lists an out-of-warranty screen repair between $679 and $977, depending on the model (it’s worth noting the Fold 3 itself isn’t listed, but similar models are).

You can learn more about the Care+ plan here.

With all that in mind, the $450 Care+ plan makes a lot of sense, and it makes even more sense when you get it for free with purchase.

To redeem the offer, Samsung says you need to select an eligible Fold 3 device, add it to your cart and select the option to add Samsung Care+ to the purchase. Then, complete your purchase as normal, and you should get the Care+ for free.

You can check out the deal for yourself here.

Tesla Model 3 no longer qualifies for $5,000 Federal rebate

The Government of Canada has updated its list of eligible vehicles for the $5,000 federal electric vehicle (EV) buying incentive, and it’s removed the Tesla Model 3.

This comes as Tesla raises the price of the Model 3 to $59,990. However, the company has also increased the range of this trim to 430km. Previously when the vehicle was priced cheaper to tie in with the incentive, the range was artificially locked down to 150km. This made this version of the Model 3 not really worth buying and was just a sneaky way to get the government discount on the longer-range Models.

It appears that Tesla no longer cares about those models receiving the discount since the Model 3 has also been removed from the rebate list in British Columbia. The only two provinces that still offer discounts on the pricey sedan are Newfoundland and Quebec. These provinces offer $2,500 and $8,000 rebates, respectively.

Since the EV maker’s vehicles are positioned as more upscale vehicles, I’m not disappointed by this move given most Tesla buyers are well off financially anyways. Further, with the wave of lower-cost EVs that are about to hit the market over the next two years, it makes more sense for Tesla to be competitive with range over price.

Adobe discounts its subscriptions by up to 40 percent for Black Friday

If you’re a creative that uses or wants to start using Adobe’s vast array of software, the company is currently offering a pretty decent ‘Black Friday’ deal.

Regular people can get the full Adobe bundle for $39 per month instead of $70. You can also get a year of access for a one-time payment of $467. This is 40 percent less than the regular price of $781.

Unfortunately, none of the standalone app subscriptions are discounted, but there is a bundle that includes a handful of 3D rendering apps that’s discounted by 20 percent.

If you’re a student — or can slyly somehow claim you’re a student — you can also get the full Adobe app subscription for as low as $251 per year. This is almost 70 percent less than the regular subscription.
