James Bond 22nd Movie Pushed Back

Columbia Pictures announced that this 22nd edition about famous Agent 007 will be in theatres on May 2, 2008.

The movie is following the release of Casino Royale, another James Bond film.  Filming of the most recent will begin after Casino Royale is released.

The part of Agent 007 will be played by Daniel Craig.

Jessica Simpson Had Cosmetic Surgery

Despite the plastic being quite obvious, the blonde reluctantly admitted that she had cosmetic surgery in the fall 2005.

In an interview with Glamour, Simpson admitted being injected with a gel protein, Restylane to make her lips fuller.

She explained "I had that Restylane stuff. It looked fake to me. I didn’t like that. But… it went away in, like, four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God!"

Jessica Simpson released her fifth album, A Public Affair this week.

Vincent Cassel May Be Playing in Ocean’s 13

According to the Parisien, the star was on the set in Los Angeles.

The French paper further revealed that for ten days Cassel hung out with his former co-stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck and Scott Caan.

In addition to this already extraordinary cast, director, Steven Sodenbergh is counting on new actors such as Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin, for another movie about Danny Ocean and his gansters. 

The movie will be in theatres in June 2007.

Panic! at the Disco Wins for Video of the Year

For these newcomers, the honour is even greater, since they beat well known artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Madonna.

English singer James Blunt, won for best male video, for his song You’re Beautiful.

Kelly Clarkson, former American Idol, won for best female video, for her song Because of You.

The best group video was given to All-American Rejects.  They beat groups such as, Gnarls Barkley, Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The viewers’ choice was the result of 40 million votes, and was given to Peter Wentz of Fall Out Boy.

Californian band, Avenged Sevenfold, won for Best New Artist for their video Bat Country.

The MTV Video Music Awards were hosted by Jack Black, at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Michael Moore Prepares a New Documentary

The man behind the films Fahrenheit 9/11 and Bowling for Columbine will again be taking a look at American politics.  Moore has started working on The Great ’04 Slacker Uprising.  The project, which is not finished, follows his campaign across the country against President Bush in 2004.

Moore also will be releasing a documentary entitled Sicko in 2007.  The film looks at the American health system.

Will Madonna Be the New Face of Louis Vuitton?

The star has agreed to do a special performance next month for the employees of the well-known design house.

The party will take place in Prague on September 8.  Madonna will be performing a show from her Confessions tour in the Czech Republic the day before.

Insiders report that the Material Girl is very interested in becoming a spokesperson for the designer.  Madonna is already working with H&M.

George Clooney is No Longer Single

Clooney, 45, who is currently filming Ocean’s Thirteen, has fallen for actress Ellen Barkin, who also stars in the movie.

According to sources who spoke to Britain’s Daily Mirror, the two have been dating since the cast started working together in Los Angeles.

Barkin, 52, divorced her second husband in February.  A source told the paper, "George has been a shoulder to cry on for Ellen – he’s helping her get over her divorce.  He is so different from her ex-husband, which she loves."

Filming for Ocean’s Thirteen began at the end of July.  The film is expected to be in theatres in 2007.

The Beatles Plan to Sue EMI

According to the BBC, the legendary band claims that the company pocketed millions of dollars in royalties.

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the estates of George Harrison and John Lennon are hoping to win back their money, which equals nearly $25 million US.  The suit also asks that the original recordings of songs made by the group in Liverpool will also be returned.

This is not the first time that the Beatles have had legal issues with their label.  In 1979, the band won $20 million in unpaid royalties.

Jessica Simpson is in Love

According to the American magazine People, Simpson is now dating singer John Mayer, 28.  A source told the magazine, "It’s the first stage. She’s never been happier."

Jessica Simpson, 26, is divorced from singer Nick Lachey.

Simpson is currently in New York promoting her latest album, A Public Affair.  Mayer will be performing in concert tonight in Jones Beach, and Simpson is expected to attend the show.

The two stars have known each other for several years.  They recently attended the same pre-Grammy party.

Elton John Wants to Go Hip-Hop

The star recently revealed his hopes in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.  The 59 year-old singer explained, "I want to bring my songs and melodies to hip-hop beats.  It may be a disaster, it could be fantastic, but you don’t know until you try."

Elton John also thinks it would be a good idea to collaborate with some other stars in the music world.  He added, "I want to work with Pharrell, Timbaland, Snoop, Kanye, Eminem and just see what happens."

Before starting work on his new project, Elton John will be releasing the CD The Captain and the Kid next month.
